Went to the bank today with a bunch of change, quarters, etc. in hopes to deposit… teller told me that I can roll them. Reminded me of this. Sigh. #coinstar
You want me to roll six thousand of these? What, should I quit my job??!
I'm glad someone else picked up on this! Such an odd wardrobe choice
Or from Paisanos. They didn't want the pennies either.
You steal my money?!
No he actually just came from buying a speed boat
See, we're already off the subject.
More likely squash, but still odd.
Definitely cricket. Babu was coming in from the Paddington end with his off breaks, and George was smashing him through the covers. Babu couldn't even get a doorknob to turn, or so I've heard. He's a pie chucker.
It seemed like every 90s sitcom had to show a character in a traditional squash outfit at some point.
It's less likely to be cricket, perhaps, but that's what makes my post such a humorous situation.
Tennis* 🎾
A can of balls for the nice guy
Should I quit my job I use that line all the time 😅
Why not sell tickets so people could watch him roll all 6,000? People would come from all over — he’d be a big star!
He’d sell out Madison square garden!
He could be a BIG STAR.
She's a bank teller...DON'T DISTURB THE DELICATE GENIUS!
YOU KNOW, WE'RE LIVING IN A SOCIETY!
I know a guy who took his vacation on his change.
oh yeah ? Where did he go? An arcade?
Where'd he go? The arcade?
You just know george would be to cheap to use a coinstar machine
I could definitely see him going on a rant about it. "It's like you're consenting to a mugging!"
Not for how it used to be- Amazon gift cards were free.
A lot of banks have those machines for free.
Really? Didn’t know
Yep. My local credit union has had one at the main branch for 20+ years. I assume they’d be more common place at larger banks.
I wouldn’t say ALOT… a few— if they even work.
So it wasn't because his boss wouldn't let him use his private bathroom.
A recent time I went to the bank, I had lots of rolled coins to turn in. They wouldn't take them and said I had to unroll them and use their counting machine to receive a slip to turn in for cash. Talk about peeved.
The sea was angry that day my friends. I tell ya, in that moment...I was George Costanza.
So if you come in with a bunch of loose pennies, they want rolled coins. Then if you come in with rolled coins, and they want loose pennies.
What kind of topsy turvy world do we live in, where heroes are cast as villains?
They were be-boppin' and scattin' all over me!?!?
What are rolled coins?
Coins in a paper sleeve. https://www.amazon.com/100pcs-Assorted-Heavy-Preformed-Wrappers/dp/B0823M27R1/
Thank god for Coinstar
No way there are six thousand pennies in that jar
Well, I don’t know how official these rankings really are.
I’ve counted hundreds of pennies! Thousands!!
Thousands?
Ehh!!
EEEHHHH!
Take the pen.
There’s quite a lot of pennies in a public pool.
Ewing’s hurt?!
What episode is this?? I’ve seen them all many times and I don’t recall this scene
Oh you don’t recall???
I think s1 e03
The irony is that he's basically saying she should quit her job. That's what makes this such a humorous situation.
You’re clearly forgetting what it’s like to have oranges.
George Bonanza doesn't like rolling change. George is getting upset!!
That sweater tho 🤣
I'll give you $50 for the jar
Surely you jest!
Is this the same scene where he turns, thinking he's talking to Jerry, but it's a random woman, and he says, "I really gotta get to a bathroom."?
It's a throwaway joke, but one of my most favorite in the series!
her reaction was priceless, it was way over-acting, but funny
George just came from cricket training it seems.
