Traveling with wife (36), the two kids (5) & (8) and their grandparents (80). I will try to continue and answer questions throughout the trip if I can. I know I was searching for a lot of specifics prior to this departure arriving also I just hope to help y’all answer some of your questions about the ship.
AMA: I leave for the third customer sailing on the ICON tomorrow.
Cruise ReviewWondering how crowded it feels… are you elbow to elbow with people in the pools, what are wait times for slides or any other activities.
I am still trying to get an actual count on passengers from guest services, but I think they are close to 90% capacity on this one. Maybe less.
No waits yet. Spent the evening in Surfside as the kids played. Went to a quick 5pm dinner and then Casino for a few hours. Not crowded at all. If that is the design or the cap, I do not know.
My daughters and I were at Thrill park at 9am this morning, which is when it opens. There weren’t many people there at all. We would have been able to walk on every slide but my 5yo is too small for any of those. Trying again tomorrow without the littlest.
Lot of the pool, that I saw, were closed today since the ship has been rocking like crazy. But even still I didn’t feel like any area was overcrowded.
The ship is moving around Way more than I expected to be honest. Feels top heavy.
Interesting. A review I watched said you couldn’t even tell it was moving and that it must have great stabilizers. Thanks for the update.
I’m not trying to make it sound terrible but they even canceled the ice show today due to the movement of the boat. Captain said we are in a funky wind. Tomorrow should be better.
