1/2

I’ve been a fan for at least 20 years (I’m in my mid-30s now) and on a whim my friend hits me up yesterday and says that she is in town for one night. Unfortunately none of our other friends can go last minute, but we say fuck it, we gotta go because she’s in both our top fives and we’ve never seen her live.

What a great night it was 🥹🥹🥹. Y’all, I’m still high and running on vibes from last night. The choreography was on-point. The music was immaculate. The way they transitioned and blended songs and almost played new versions of our favorite hits was amazing. The band was amazing. Even the intermission music was excellent lol.

She played damn near everything: When I Think Of You, Nasty, No Sleep, Rhythm Nation, The Best Things In Life Are Free, Someone to Call My Lover, Love Will Never Do, Got Til It’s Gone, Let’s Wait A While. Ofc she had to end with Together Again.

It was an outdoor concert too so we just got lawn tickets and sat on the hill. And we saw Janet fans of all ages and backgrounds in the crowd. Luckily we had a pretty 4/20-friendly crowd, so we light one up too of course. To smoke a L while chilling in the grass on a hill with a whole lotta other Janet fans listening to the queen absolutely CRUSHING it - I mean, you can’t beat that experience.

And because I’m a sucker I bought two shirts lol. No regrets though! I bought one of them on a whim but two hours later saw the one with the black and white pic of her and her name in red and my eyes got wide 😳🥹 and I had to have it.

In general I’ve been to very few concerts, and I’ve never seen any of my favorite artists perform, so this was a great night. Such a vibe 🥹🥹🥹.
