Some questions for professionals about the Gr III X before buying it.

Hello everyone, I wanna switch from Fujifilm to Ricoh gr because I bought a gr I and absolutely loved the images it gives me, I shoot raw but even the jpegs with positive film sim looks amazing to me, much nicer than the Fujifilm one tbh.

I shoot mostly street but I also do some paid gig, mostly portrait and event photography, and I am a bit scared that people are not going to take me seriously if I come to a gig with this little camera that looks like a toy.

I already used my gr I in those conditions and I know it can deliver and the images will look amazing but yeah, people who don't know anything assimilate big camera to professional.

Are the Ricoh gr III raw files well handled in capture one ? I don't use lightroom, my Ricoh gr I are looking good in capture one with the generic ricoh profile but I don't know about the newer models.

Is there any weatherproof case for it ? I like to shoot in the rain and sometimes in event there is some "accidents".

My plan is to use both my gr I and the Ricoh gr III X with the teleconverter to be able to have everything I need in a small package.

I know my Fujifilm camera and lenses is the most suited for my usage but I can't help it, I just love how the Ricoh gr sensor renders images and I'm editing my picture wayyy faster when using it.

Partially washed my battery

Probably going to be okay but wondering if there are any recommendations. Long story short, I had a battery in the coin pocket of my jean which I threw into the wash. Realized it probably 15 minutes after starting the wash cycle. Took it out, rinsed it off, going to let it air dry for a few days. Don't think the whole place in rice will be necessary. Wondering if any additional advice.

Camera issues [GR III]Technical support

My GR III is having a weird issue where half the time I turn it on, the sensor doesn’t work and it won’t take a picture, or if it does take a picture, it’s just a pink wash. However if I shake the camera a bit or give it a few knock, things work perfectly.

I took it into my local shop for repair and the repairman reported that everything was connected fine and that the CCD must be broken and they don’t do that kind of repair. Got it back today and I can still get it to work with a few knocks.

Has anyone encountered this before? Does the CCD need replacement or is it something else?

Anyone else waiting on a griii hdf preorder from B&H? Discussion

Thinking about cancelling mine at this point and trying to buy direct from Ricoh….i actually had one when they first released them but the exposure wheel had tons of issues as well as some other buttons on the back. Does anyone have an eta when they’ll restock?

Newbie tips?

My GR III Street Edition arrives on tomorrow (3rd June). I'm a newbie as always used a smartphone. Looking to take nice pics of trees, coastal, harbours, family, fishing villages, all in North East Scotland.

Looking at https://ricohrecipes.com/the-nature-collection/ and have a 256gb card.

What should I do first? Upgrade firmware? Just get snapping?
