Hi. I'm going to be in vegas for a quick trip friday and saturday. Staying at the Aria. I would like to play in a poker tournament. They don't really seem to have casual Sit-and-go style tournaments like I remember some Casinos used to have back in 2000's. Anyway. I am new to casino tournaments and am wondering if anyone can share their thoughts/experience on how long they think the below tournament would take presuming I did well. We have a dinner reservation at 7:30 which I would not mind missing if I was doing well and could potentially win a lot, but not if we'd still be very far from the end. Thanks so much.
Thanks for your input I think I'll just stick to the cash games.
That tournament will definitely not be finished by 7:30. I don't know how long it will take but I'm guessing 12-14 hours? Probably longer tbh.
I knew there wouldn't be a chance it'd be complete by 7:30 I guess I was trying to get a sense for how close it would be. Or if it'd be ITM yet. Thanks for your input I think I'll just stick to the cash games.
Not a chance that’ll be over by 730. Doubt you’ll even be in the money by then. I was in a smaller tournament last week that started at 1, we weren’t ITM until about 9PM.
You’re not seeing many sit and go’s because it’s WSOP season so many of the casinos have competing summer tournaments.

It will not be over before midnight and if you're still playing then it's a good problem to have.
I guess I was wondering if still playing by 7pm would also be a good problem to have or still too far away to know if it was worth missing the dinner reservation.
Still too far away. You could conceivably bust outside of the money and miss dinner.
Thanks for your help!
My friend won that one last week and it ended at 5:30 am
How much was the top prize?
$78k
Niiiiiice
Westgate has a quick sit n go for $45 at noon
Venetian has a $200 survivor tourney you can do in one evening. Surviving players get $1600 or 2k (can’t recall) but I think it runs regularly

Man this looks perfect but it starts at 6:10 and dinner is at 7:30.
Bummer. Turbo small dollar at mgm may be ur best bet. Or online
Meh its looking more like I'll just stick to the cash games then, stick around the ARIA, check in on my wife at the pool now and then. oh wells.
You likely won't even be in the money by 7:30pm. If you are ITM at that time, you'll be a long ways away from anything more than a min cash.
