What’s wrong with my aloe?
Picture doesn’t do it justice, the “browning” is a startling orange color.
Still just a temporary stress color, sunburn bleaches the color and causes permanent damage 👍
How temporary though? it’s still doing this.
Crispy/discolored tips is usually either a thirst or root issue. How much and how often do you water? The soil either isn’t draining well enough, damaging the roots so they can’t take up water, or it’s not getting watered enough. They like good but infrequent drenches and for the soil to drain very quickly.
I use Planta, which says to water it every 15 days, I usually bottom water it for 5-10 minutes.
Sunburned. Move it further from the window give it a week or two it will go back to green. Give it a good watering too maybe
Yep, I've definitely sunburned my aloes way past this point and they bounced back and turned green again after being in lower light after some time. Leaves still look plump - I would be worried if the leaves get thin and concave.
This plant is still showing the he brown/red tips. Is it possible that it needs a bigger pot?
Brown is not sunburn, it’s a temporary reaction to change (more light, thirst, temp changes, repotting, etc.)
