Have some neighbors who are divorcing and putting their little for adoption he’s 1 year old. Everyone keeps telling me they’ll be dangerous when older but I really want to adopt him. Any advice?

My (25M)parent’s neighbors are going through a messy divorce and don’t have time for Timmy their one year old pittie. He’s very sweet and lazy and I love playing with him. I have even house sat with him there many times.

Most likely I’ll be moving to a bigger city in the next few months for a new job. I’d love to adopt the little guy and I expect to make about $130k so enough for a dog and I plus food,training,daycare etc.

Only thing is everyone tells me they get aggressive when older and not worth adopting. He’s very loving and kind. I always wanted a chill playful friendly dog and people tell me pittbulls are more like guard dogs.

Any advice? I’d hate to see him go to a foster or adoption place when I can help.
