Mould or the byproduct of pickling process?

Right off the bat it looks like kahm, especially since what’s on top is consistent with what’s falling down the jar (mould can’t grow without oxygen, so it wouldn’t be there in your brine / vinegar). Does it have a smell to it?
If this were me I would personally scrape that off the top and try a little bit. Bear in mind though, you have some product peeking above the surface - that’s more likely to incur mould so in future, make sure all your ingredients are submerged!

Edit: also for future reference, kahm always seems to take this “wrinkly” structure, whereas mould will be dry and fuzzy looking!
Thanks! It doesn’t smell and I didn’t think it looks like mould. I try scraping it off or decant it into another jar with a brine to see what happens. I would assume if it’s mould then the mould would carry across to the new jar?
even if it's yeast, you'll never scrape it all out.
I don't see any fuzz or colors....so I'd eat it...but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safe. But it does look like what kahm looks like I think.
