You forgot Wo Long
Oh yeah that's a recent entry.
Haven't tried it yet.
Its pretty good if you liked Nioh its pretty much that but Chinese.
I disagree pretty strongly about it being Like Nioh. It's from the developers of Nioh but plays quite differently. As someone who loves Nioh and has over 500 hours in the series, I hated Wo Long and dropped it fast.
That's one awful take. It plays nothing like Nioh.
apparently RE9 is set in southeast asia, so there's that to look forward to if true. which we should find out in a month.
Godamn.. Youtube compression really fucked this trailer up something fierce.
That's just IGN. I don't know why but IGN trailer uploads are horrible quality. If you watch the same trailer on the official channel, PlayStation/Xbox channels it will be lot better.
Looks nice.
Too good to be true
Despite what the internet tells you, you CAN have nice things.
I'm interested to see what kinds of games get made by Chinese companies in the next ten years, even if this one ends up being a dud. Seems like they have fresh ideas to offer.
Im excited for this game, and I can see what you mean, the more developers the better.
But im a silly person, so I cant avoid getting a sensible chuckle when reading a "chinese companies have fresh ideas" comment in a "chinese company makes a monkey king videogame" post. 🙂
Haha, yeah, that does look a little strange. I just meant it's cool to see Chinese mythology get incorporated into a game, bc it's not something I see super often :)
Yeahhhh…
I’m surprised I didn’t make the connection, there’s so damn many of them 😅
Seems like they have fresh ideas to offer.
This is a retelling of the same old "Tale of the monkey king" fable that's incredibly common.
Never seen a videogame about a monkey king before
Dragon Ball is a retelling of this story.
Enslaved: Oddyssey to the West is based on this same story.
So is Monkey King: Hero is Back
Monkey King Saga is also.
There's a boatload of them.
Anything I've seen related to the Monkey King has been realllllly loosely based on it, that I still don't have any idea what the actual story arc is.
Only one I've heard of is dragonball
Interesting!
I thought it was based on a classic Chinese novel that hadn’t been adapted yet.
Are the games you listed also retelling that story to some degree?
Edit: I checked the other guys link and yeah, I’m just dumb. The story’s been told plenty of times 😅
Yeah, they're all a retelling of the same old fable.
Not to say that some don't take liberties with the story, like Dragonball did. They all put their own spin on it.
You sound like a buzzkill
They've been around for a few years already. Genshin Impact is huge.
I want to keep my fingers crossed but this game looks very exciting to me
games needs to stop releasing pointless trailers after trailers. just show us the game when its ready
Why are you booing him? He's right!
WE WILL BE HERE FOR IT. WE WILL BE PLAYING.
- Mom, I want Elden Ring.
- We have Elden Ring at home.
Elden Ring at home:
Like any other game that has been released with so much hype. Will not meet expectations!
The only nearest games to Chinese stuff we used to get were Dynasty warriors and some RTS games.
And now we finally seeing them tackling Chinese Mythology and Wuxia stuff.
Now I'm waiting for other parts of the world to get their culture in to games.
