I'm looking for some advice on buying a Onewheel and would appreciate your insights. I'm based in Italy, so in addition to the product's cost, I would also have to pay customs fees.
A friend of mine has a used Onewheel in decent condition, but there's one significant issue: he hasn't used it for over six months, and now the battery seems completely dead. I haven't seen the Onewheel since it stopped working, so I'm not sure of the exact condition. Is it possible to buy a new battery and replace it myself? The official Onewheel website offers battery replacement for $300, but this isn't cost-effective for me due to additional shipping costs.
Additionally, if I don't buy my friend's used Onewheel, I’m considering two models: the Pint and the Pint X. I live in a relatively flat area, and my daily travels are usually within an 8-10 km radius. The base model, Pint, seems sufficient for my needs. However, I'm curious about the lifespan of a Onewheel. Should I invest in the Pint X, which is faster and has a longer range, even though it costs a few hundred euros more? I'd like this device to last for several years.
