Any recommendations for day trips with a baby in a pram/papoose? We’ve visited Stonebridge and White Post Farm before, and just looking for some inspiration that’s within a drive of the city/county.
Arboretum to see the birds.
Floralands Garden Centre/animal park.
National Trust -Belton House and Calke Abbey are both easy distance. Clumber Park too. Baby can ride in the papoose while you poke around the houses and then you can explore the grounds, have a picnic, play on the grass or in the woods. Honestly well worth joining.
Just FYI if you're using a carrier it has to be on the front in most NT places(jic you're back carrying a baby/child)and they'll make you change it before you can come in
Rufford abbey has lovely, easy, reasonable walks, with cafes/toilets/seating areas at both end. As the kid gets older you’ll find that it’s the best playground.
Wollaton hall as well. Nice walks, good facilities and interesting for the first few times.
Rushcliffe county park is a good place nice flat walk around the pond and if you want to take the long route around its only got a one or two hills nothing major has a park with a sand pit and and a sensory attrition in the wood for kids not sure how old the baby is but took my kids there from 6 months and always was something to do and has a café if you get hungry also
Clumber park, Belton house. Stonebridge farm in town. Wollaton
Newstead Abbey.
