Celtics
I need to think about it some more
2024 Celts
2020 Lakers (AD was legit top 3 level that playoffs, giving them two top 3 players, easy #2)
2021 Bucks
2023 Nuggets
2022 Warriors
To be fair the gap isn’t large at all. The 2022 Warriors could easily beat the 2024 Celtics and basically any team on this list could beat another.
I think this list is fair and why 2022 Warriors was really entertaining to watch -- they came in underdog-ish (e.g. sport analysts at the time giving them, like, 8% to win or something) then went psycho during the final series.
Tough to separate 2024 Celtics and 2023 Nuggets, both looked unbeatable in playoffs
Why do people rank the nuggets run so high?
Lakers - people forget the team was like 50-13 even before the bubble with a top 5 offense and defense - and then the kicker for me is they still had end of peak playoff LeBron, and AD was great that whole season
Celtics - i think they're being discussed unfairly, people just casually forget that KP was injured most of these playoffs, and if they cruise next year to a title, i think i'd have to put them ahead of the Lakers, only reason i'm not right now is i guess i'm unfairly judging them too, need to see how easy that offense looks when KP is there for the playoffs
Nuggets - great team
Warriors - once again, people forget they were right there with the Suns for the best record in the league befor Draymond/Steph got injured
Bucks - i hated watching them, they were doing dumb shit the entire playoffs, Middleton would get Harris on him and for some reason they'd bring KD into the pnr and go try attacking him? even after they won people were like yeah fire Bud
edit: Warriors were 41-13 before Steph/Draymond injuries started to happen
'24 Celtics
'23 Nuggets
'20 Bucks = '21 Lakers
'22 Warriors

Warriors were 41-13 before Steph/Draymond injuries
only reason they're not regarded as highly is cause people only see the 53 wins and forget how dominant they were throughout when they were healthy
They were lucky Memphis had Bane, Ja, and Adams hurt
Lmao
Y'all still aren't winning 😹
Yeah, the fact the Celtics lost that series is…not great. That GSW team is one of the worst championship teams I’ve ever seen.
Curry went bonkers, Wiggins played the best 2 weeks of his career, and the Celtics couldn't hold onto the ball
Neither team could score efficiently in the half court with any efficiency and the difference was the Warriors having better BBIQ and taking care of the ball, while the Celtics got absolutely punished in transition with all their careless mistakes
Totally a BBIQ+experience thing. Most of the GSW had been there. It was Tatum+Browns first time at 25/26 years old. Felt like the Warriors wisdom played a large part in some of the avoidable mistakes by the C's.
Yep, Warriors realized early on that as long as they just played soundly on D, they wouldn't need to gamble and try to pressure the Celtics into turnovers, they could wait until the opportunity arose and pounce when it came
Absolutely a BBIQ thing that allowed them to win the transition game and maintain a strong half court D without breaking down
A less savvy team might have gotten frustrated by the Celtics' half court D, but the Warriors knew that they didn't need to take risks which could lead to easy Celtics buckets. Instead they could live with some half court dry spells and survive off a steady diet of fast-court buckets of turnovers and the inevtiable Curry hot stretches.
Still salty 2 years later?
Celtics Nuggets Lakers Bucks Warriors.
Warriors Celtics Nuggets Bucks Lakers
Healthy warriors core of klay dray steph is maybe the greatest team yet
And I hate those guys
‘22 was a weird season, anyone coulda really won that onep
Nuggets, Lakers, Celtics, Bucks, Warriors
Switch the Lakers and the warriors and you probably have it. You could maybe make the case for moving Denver down to three and Lakers at two but it wouldn't make much difference imo
Celtics Warriors Bucks
Not sure between Lakers and Nuggets as the worst
Celtics
Nuggets Lakers Warriors Lakers
So it’s fuck the Bucks then? 😂

People but warriors last, they beat the Celtics in the Finals.
2022 Celts and 2024 Celts are a much different team. Not only did the Jays get better but so did everyone around them. Derrick White almost doubled his playoff ppg on much better efficiency while being an elite defender. Also KP and Jrue > Timelord and Smart.
Smart was dpoy
He was but Jrue isn't really that much worse defensively while being a pretty significant upgrade offensively.
It's weird, like who did the Bucks beat beside Suns who are the weakest Western team of the century and crippled Nets with KD + bums. Warriors had a better track record than them at least
Nuggets Lakers Celtics Bucks Warriors
As someone who doesn’t hate the Celtics, I don’t get the hype on this team. If you told me that my team had to go through the pacers for the ECF and the mavs for the finals, I would say yes please.
Denver got to play 2 8 seeds, a 7 seed and the suns
They went 64-18 in the regular season, and yes they had an easy run but they also went 16-3 in the playoffs. It’s not like they played weak competition and nearly lost anyway.
Shouldn’t be that hard to see why a team who had a top 10-15 regular season ever then sleepwalked through the playoffs with the most dominant run since the KD Warriors might have a bit of hype.
They played the teams on their schedule and dominated all year. By every team metric it's an all-time great team.
2024 Celtics get outsized by both 2020 lakers and 2023 nuggets
Got too many recency biases in here who have been watching basketball for about 2 months now lol.
Lot of recency bias in this thread. This Celtics team isn't beating 2020 Lakers or 2023 Nuggets
you bet they will, you can probably give them HC advantage and Celtics will still win pretty handily. Celtics in 5 max 6
Like I said, recency bias.
Lakers, Celtics, Bucks, Nuggets, Warriors
