They made up for it immediately. Pretty sure Embiid was in bounds on one of these earlier too.
Respect it, I know it’s not easy to be objective mid series lol
Game was phenomenal. Obviously heartbroken but not gonna start crying ref in a game like that. Knicks deserved to lose it and Maxey deserved to win it.
Not only that but at the end of G4 they called Maxey out of bounds when he was in and the Sixers had to challenge it and it stopped a Maxey fastbreak.
It's pretty even incompetence by the refs but why the hell are they calling these out of bounds when they don't see them go out of bounds. I can understand the reverse where it goes out but you don't see it so you don't make the call, but calling it out of bounds when it isn't is actually bullshit.
The Maxey one wasn't even that close. I agree with everything you said. Whether someone is on the line or not seems like the easiest call to make.
They got the ball right back like 10 seconds later so it didn’t really matter.
Right lol.
Plus JB had the rebound already and all Hart does is knock it out of his hands.
If I'm down two I think I'd rather have Hartenstein directly underneath the basket with the ball in his hands then a side out, so I think it did matter.
But the refs did fuck one up earlier in the game so these things even out I guess
Didn’t embiid get called out on a loose ball that wasn’t out? Someone post that
Right? Baseline ref was whistle happy and messed two of these up, one against the 76ers once against the knicks
That was also reviewed and called for the knicks too lmfao if I remember correctly also directly led to a layup.
At least according the the feedback given by the booth (for what that's worth), that was not reviewed, only the clock.
The shit they waste time to review 🤦♂️
Makes sense because they could not have gotten it wrong, again, on the replay.
They were checking shot clock not out of bounds on Embiid
Oh I just assumed the pause was for it. Whatever it all worked out in the end.
Yea looked like the Knicks defender touched that possession at the end last so they balance each other out. We won’t see that as a post though.
I’m sure they will correct it in the L2M report.
I’m sure Knicks fans won’t be revising history about that, not like the play Robinson actually got injured on
No only bad things happen to the Knicks according to this sub
The Knicks who would be down 3-2 heading to Philly if by the NBA's own admission they called the end of game 2 correctly.
And the Sixers got lucky Embiid didn’t get ejected in the following game
Lucky by having every ref and the league agree it was the right call? Its amazing how many people here think r/nba is some basketball authority lol
Lucky by having every ref and the league agree it was the right call?
What are you talking about?
Crew chief Zach Zarba on why officials deemed the Embiid foul on Robinson a flagrant 1 and not a flagrant 2: "The crew was unanimous along with the replay center official in Secaucus that this foul was unnecessary but did not rise to the level of a flagrant 2."
I mean... of course they're gonna say that?
Lol I'm just curious- if that's not a flagrant 2, will somebody please explain to me what is?
They didn’t let Thibs call a timeout? Weird
The short grab was the issue. Not the TO.
According to the L2M, Nurse should’ve been granted the TO
That’s not true
that is true. it is in the L2M report
No it’s not. The l2m said that a timeout was unrecognized. Doesn’t mean it was correctly or incorrectly recognized
Nah, both were at issue.
nah u right
Took about 2 days for the Knicks agenda pushing to get so annoying that people are becoming Sixers fans
Yeah it should've been a jump ball, happened in the last 5 minutes of regulation.
Thank you Heat fan
They called Maxey OON last game when there was about 2 inches of light wood space between him and the sideline too.
It happen to sixers earlier in game also refs need to check there eyes
There were several calls like this today. Tonight's officiating crew consistently made the incorrect out of bounds call.
Also happened last game to Maxey & Sixers won the challenge.
And Joel saved the ball earlier. The world balances out.
The ball didn't lie and the game moved on.
Stinks to see the refs make an error but it ended up having no impact on the game whatsoever. The Sixers immediately had a careless turnover that led to a run out.
I don't think it had NO impact. They did get the ball back anyway next possession but it led to a turnover. Meanwhile had Hart not been called on the out of bounds here the Knicks were in a much better position to score. This isn't really that egregious on a big picture scale but it could have shifted the game
The exact same play happened earlier with Embiid getting called out of bounds when he was in. It’s a wash.
lol come on
What? If you're going to disagree, at least make the argument. The other guy made a fair point. You just tried to join on the hate for some easy karma.
It pretty clearly had little to no impact on the game and it wasn't even the only baseline call that ref screwed up, with the other one going against Philly.
Immediately after call was last touched by Harstein and they ruled it out on Embiid anyone ganna post that ?
Assuming the rest of the game plays out the same way if the ball isn’t called out of bounds is silly.
Yes, that’s also true of the ball that was out off Hartenstein.
They missed 2 calls on that baseline when Embiid saved the ball there in the fourth
Wasn't there a possession where Embiid saved it on the ground, but was called out of bounds?
Here we go
They got the ball back the next possession when hartenstein forced embiid to slap it out of bounds.
Ball don’t lie
and even as a strong embiid hater, i thought if they really took a close look at that review it might have come off hartenstein, so it evened out
yeah, on a bad call too lmao. the refs giveth, the refs taketh away
edit: ball -> call
It’s part of the game
I mean we pissed this game away there’s no reason to be doing this kinda stuff honestly. Just gotta do better next time.
They got the ball right back tho
if refs were perfect sixers would be up 3-2 rn
You just gonna ignore game 3?
No he said refs were perfect
Refs missed a few for each team.
happened to the sixers earlier and after this too, part of the game unfortunately
ENHANCE
Didn’t really matter tbh
Karma for the one earlier hahah
refs been fucking this up all series. i get it it's hard to tell when someone's out when you're 2 feet away. did it maxey and had to overturn it last game
Half a second of a terrible angle. You really can't tell anything here.
yeah wtf? when i watched this live i was shocked nobody said anything about it.
How about just make your fucking free throws at home, no less, and you win the series lmao how hard is that?
What a shame
Damn that's crazy
