Sure, possibly. That cracked radial cap is sure similar to V. v. but I don’t know what other species are around.

Thanks. It does look like volvopluteus in google. It was growing on a tree stump, the stem was stringy but snapped when bent. I put it under a glass for a spore print (as if I knew what to look for in it ) :)
Spore print is not always useful. For example all three options being discussed here have similar pink spore.

Good eye didn’t catch that , I clearly see it on the stem below now .
This is Volvariella. They look similar to Pluteus and Volvopluteus, love warm climates and tend to fruit directly from wood.
