I think it's a Cereus jamacaru, and I read somewhere that it contains mescaline. Is this true? Did anyone try to extract mesc from this cactus? If yes how did you proceed?
That looks like a myrtillocactus, not a cereus. And no, it doesn’t contain mescaline. It just looks cool and plants
There's a peruvian apple nearby me, does a real cereus have mescaline?
No, cereus/Peruvian Apple cactus doesn’t contain mescaline. Trichocereus aka San Pedro species do, but Cereus does not
Oh, wasn’t aware of this. I’m it sure, I know many species have trace amounts and aren’t usable. Don’t know what the situation is with this one or if anyone has looked more into it.. I guess you could grow yours out and do a CEILO extract or just send a sample of what you have now t ok Altitude Consulting to have it analysed.
Also, not saying this info is incorrect but Zamnesia has made some statements that were false or seem questionable. I’ve seen others mention things they stated that were incorrect in the past, can’t recall exactly what currently though
Okay I understand. I'll still get one because they grow apples tho lol I'm willing to figure out how to send samples too. You can message me and I'll save your message. I'll tell you what I find out and I would probably need you to tell me where to send a sample to again once everything is ready.
