I didn’t think of this before, but if your parents are in active addiction, Alanon could still be beneficial! https://memphisareaal-anon.org/find-a-meeting/
These meeting are for anyone affected by someone in addiction. Sometimes parents, a spouse, or a child.
Thank you. I emailed some meeting group!
I used to go to a Tuesday/Thursday night Al Anon meeting at St. John’s at 5:30. I’ve only been once since the pandemic so I don’t know their current schedule, it’s probably the same though. I really liked the group and meetings. Wasn’t specifically for adult children but there were plenty of adult children there.
Al anon is for all friends and family of addicts. Best of luck OP. I had to attend a lot of groups before I found one that fit my needs. I find comfort with my home group. I hope you find comfort, too.
Thank you for this. I’m glad you found your group. I didn’t realize there was ACA and AL ANON. I am going to try a non denominational meeting soon.
There is one at St Mary’s School off walnut grove in east Memphis, on Saturdays at 12PM. I recommend it, have a friend that goes.
I think you're looking for ACA, not Alanon. ACA is Adult Children of Alcoholics.

St. John's Episcopal Church. Go in the gym building doors (gym is to the left of the church building when facing both) and up to the second floor. Take a right out of the elevator and the room is immediately to the right. There is an ACA sign in the window by the door.
