I've watched all the trailers for it and i was already excited to watch it but i figured i would probably read the manga if i watched the first ep. I also heard its kinda like spider man(hiding ur identity). So i started reading it and ngl after 3-5 chapters i got hooked into it. I LOVED every aspect of it. I really liked the relation of the mc and his childhood friend. I loved all the hype scenes as well. I was genuinely jumping and hyped up in my room and had to calm myself by drinking water, i was enjoying this a little too much.

And then chap 32 happened, where his identity got revealed to everyone. At first i didnt mind it, i liked the action and shock of the chapter but now i wish they kept it as it is, i wish he transformed behind them because i really loved the 'hiding ur identity',I wish it was till the near end, so that the relation between the mc and the childhood frnd could have been really complex and interesting.

From chapter 33, everything felt bland and extremely generic. Felt like there were too many characters. Some characters felt overwritten, wish they kept it simple. There were very few hype scenesRandom asspulls(ex:Ichikawa getting the number weapon OF THE STRONGEST FUCKING DAIKAIJU in history). Wish the no.9 had his abilities was splited between 2 daikaiju. The abilility to mess with the biological system of kaiju species and the ability to absorb multiple kaiju/human and absorb its powers, with the name no.11, why? i feel like no.9 feels more like an subordinate than a main villain and i wish there was another daikaiju 'no.11' who is supereior/equal to him and giving him more information and THEM BOTH carrying the plan where no.9 is hiding somwhere and 'no.11' being the outer focus and the defense force trying to take down by seperating themselves. No.9 from the start felt like the guy who does things for fun/experiment, he didnt look like the type the guy take a huge grudge on an oponent.

For some reason the no.8 hype scenes before chap 33 felt more enjoyable and hype than any scene after chap 33, maybe the recent one but still it doesnt match.

What i wish the story was/Which i find as a negative:

They should have kept the spider man thing with kafka. The interactions with the characters would be even more interesting. Like imagine a scene where no.8 smiles at mina for some reason and her feeling a sense of deja vu. Like similarily in spider man series itself. And them having a realtionship like gwen and her father but less merciful. And him providing biological info on kaiju(since 10+ years expereience) and ichikawa catching up to shinomiya and them having a rival relationship and/or a tsundere romantical relationship(personally i enjoy it).

Lack of no.8 hype scenes, unecassary nerf(requirement of stamina is already a good nerf, there was no need for anything else),no improvement/exploring his own powers(hyperspeed, superstrength or some kind of beam or anything), felt like there was a frequent use of 'power of friendship' asspull.

for me the series went from S to B tier and then chap 100 came in, the biggest asspull I've seen. The guy who has the number weapon of THE STRONGEST DAIKAIJU IN HISTORY was disappeared from the start of the war and suddenly comes outta no where. I genuenily closed my phone and kept my palm on my face, i was genuenily stunlocked. I was expecting atleast a good no.8 hype scene, since ichikawa could take care of those multiple daikaiju and kafka could rely on him, i was expecting atleast.....ATLEAST him charging his complete power in his legs for a giant speed boost or SOME RANDOM FUCKING BULLSHIT, LIKE.... IF NO.8 DOES SMTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY AND DOES SMTHING SO HYPE, I WILL COMPLETELY FORGET THE STORY FLAWS, AND FOR GOD KNOWS WHY HE DIDNT DO THAT TOO, like smthing man. And now it went to D tier for me, at least for now.

I genuenily think kaiju no.8 could have been on par with jjk if they maintained the spider man thing in the least or maybe not, idk. I wholeheartly say i loved the start of the series so much, its just so annoying, frustrating and disappointing on how it turned out.

i was so stunlocked for hours that i had to convey all my thoughts somehwere to calm myself.

If anyone reads it, i would like to have ur opinions as well.

And last but no least, wish kafka acts as different\mature from other shonen mcs since he is 32 yo.
