[DISC] Isekai Apocalypse MYNOGHRA ~The Conquest of the World Starts With the Civilisation of Ruin~ - Ch. 26
DISCBoth great series, thanks for the translations.
I will ,probably, never not get literal chill from seeing how other people sees the MC. I will keep reading until the day it reveals as to why even Atou showed somewhat fear toward her king
He literally a abyss that peers into your very being
I like it even more that the MC is leaning into it after the loss of bestest bugmom Isla.
In other characters it'd feel like a subtle slip into madness, but for MC it just feels like he's falling into his role, which comes off as a dark god of the scorned ones.
Tyvm for the TL. I missed this series.
"Do you wish for power?"
That's always a dope line.
Spoiler:
Freedom🦅🦅🦅
"Do you wish for power???"
"then you should have systematic exercise based on your stamina and muscular power"
Plus that line coming from the deathly horror that he looks like to everyone else.
I don't have much to add this chapter, except a bit more clarification on what Moltar meant when he said "Dragontan has gotten much quieter ever since the conflict". Which segues into the main reason as to why is Phon'kaven so eager to get rid of Dragontan?"
The answer to that is simply that Phon'kaven has gotten too big and is military not keeping up with other countries in the continent, which the Demon Army invasion made all too clear. Their border towns were ravaged, the forces stationed there unable to handle them and eviscerated, and Phon'kaven didn't sent reinforcements as they didn't have the troops to spare and instead focused on protecting their core territories. If their ally, Mynoghra, hadn't dealt with the Demon King they'd be in way deeper shit.
As a result they are having food shortages as a result of destroyed infrastructure, and their border towns are experiencing an exodus of people who are travelling back inland as they've lost faith in Phon'kaven's ability to protect the towns and want to return to safer areas. Dragontan, while not as badly damaged due to their proximity to Mynoghra, has similarly lost most of their troops and has people leaving daily.
Considering Dragontan was only founded to exploit the Dragon Vein there, which has already lost value due to their agreement of joint ownership with Mynoghra, they have no reason holding on to this territory when it's unlikely they'll be able to actually make use of it when their people are leaving and they can't protect it. Hence why they're pivoting to handing the town over to Mynoghra, considering the joint ownership agreement will remain in effect, and try to get military concessions out of them, solving their current biggest issue. And Mynoghra has the military to both hang on to the town, and has proven to the citizens to be able to do so which should stop the majority of them from leaving, giving Mynoghra the population boost they need so badly.
Pepe may be childish and direct, but he is an excellent negotiator.
Pepe the bullshit cutter. Basically the living embodiment of the poop knife, and I love it.
Great bit of info, thanks!
I love when the author draws the main character as this dark shadow being.
The latest cover art is certainly unsettling. lmao at the spirits "hell no I'm outta here"
Takuto shadow form didn't terrify people he met before this as much, is it because they're normal people compared to the others? I appreciate people like Pepe, no bullshit and straight to the point

It did, the manga just didn't show that as well until now. The Dark Elves were terrified of him when they first met him, and only gained resistance when they were accepted into Mynoghra as refugees and their alignment turned Evil. And even then whenever Takuto gets angry that still scares them.
I don't read the LN but it's probably as you said. The elves still managed to meet face to face without Takuto hiding his aura in chapter 2. Also the staff elders did compose themselves in chapter 10.
A few chapters ago, Takuto had that shift of personality/perspective after losing bug mum (such as how he destroyed the tree house). I wonder if that also resulted in physical/spiritual changes which would explain why his presence is so much more powerful now.
True, that could be it.
Does the MC ever learn what he looks like to other people in the novel?
No, he sees himself as human until some events happen in this arc (Heavy spoilery content)
Ok Pepe is the shit, I love the kid now.
As mentioned on the credits page, there's no listed date for the next set of raws, but as we're properly into the new year, I'd expect it to come around in 1-3 months for the next full chapter to be posted (in two parts). As always, I'll be waiting for the full chapter to be released before working on it.
For other series, I've been working on Bard Loen - doing a re-read has inspired me again, and I'll hopefully drop another five chapters sometime soon. I forgot how much I enjoyed the next arc in Bard Loen.
