Just wanted to ask, does everyone do this? xD

I put alot of hours into just one song, days actually, then when it comes together, I just vibe to it the rest of the day. Making music is such a rewarding hobby (hobby for me)

Asking as a producer, cause it seems like we're a little bit confused. I'm trynna understand what rappers are really looking for.

Yo, does anyone else make beats where they use the slight fractions of the song where they like the tone and then cut it up with other fragments to make melodys and tings? Been doing it lately and its pretty nice. If someone else does, do you know any songs that use this technique?

My aliases, fonts, logos, and overall brand will all come together once I start rapping.

I like rappers like spm, Knightowl, z-ro, UGK, and more that have their brand together. How do I do that?

I feel this is a fairly big obstacle for a lot of people. What are some ways you overcome it?

If I leased a beat non exclusively from a producer on beat stars, then I make a TikTok video with the song I made from the beat, will TikTok take down my video? Having trouble finding a clear answer on this.

I know how to make lyric videos the long/hard way, but have any companies lately made it easier? Like where you can paste in your lyrics and it automatically populates the text? Preferably some sort of offline software so the company isn't stealing the music.

I'm an FL producer who's been working on beats constantly for the past few years and I've finally made it to a place in my production career where I feel comfortable finding rappers to work with and I've got an idea.

I want to create a discord server of a couple rappers who'd be willing to freestyle or write for some of my beats and I would compile the bets to create a track list of some great artists working over my stuff. I'd be really interested to see who's down and want to get in contact with ya'll.

I've got some throwaways on my soundcloud (Linked at the bottom) in the "Instrumental Hip Hop" Playlist, though I've got a tonne in the vault that I'd be willing to send over for thoes who join the server.

Hey my name is Delmarvae I’m a producer and rapper looking for other people in the underground rap community to collab and work with I make cloud rap and horrorcore styles of music and I can edit videos.

Is out of key always bad? I was listening to Don Toliver's After Party and Gunna's fukumean and they both have out of key elements. After Party has a out of key harp thing after the beat drops and fukumean has that out of key flute

I can't post the songs I guess because of the subs rules but the Don Toliver harp in After Party is around the 23 second mark and pretty much through all the hooks. The Gunna flute in fukumean plays pretty much through the whole song

I like both. General perception for the After Party harp seems to be good, but a lot of people aren't fans of the out of key flute in fukumean. I personally like it. Tell me what you think.

How do you write better lyrics? For example, you wouldn't want to sound like you're talking formally like in a conversation. You'd want to make it sound like, y'know, you're rapping. You can make the bar make sense too but a lot of artists I see rap this way. How do you word it in a way that many famous rappers do?

I have a question/concern though. I stumbled upon a YouTube music production channel and their content is great. However, they don't have any business email or anyway to reach out and comments are turned off. Got like ~25 subscribers. Is there a way to get their attention? I don't want to create anything without their permission. My production skills aren't that great, but they capture the vibe that I'm looking for when writing.

There are tracks that some will upload and you can use them, just give credit where it's due or purchase the beat. This channel doesn't explicitly state that though. I don't know if was made for fun or what...and I don't know how to go about it. Should I just try to find something else?

I am rapper from a small country in Africa called Zimbabwe .I have been rapping ever since I was like 9 .50 cent really made want to be a rapper I was into music in general before that .He changed my life .I started soaking in the greats despite English being my second language to be it was my first I refuse to communicate with anything else at school they called me “musalad “ which means a wanna be .Kinda crazy after years of putting in work I’m not famous commercially but as a freelancer I’m like the God down there bringing in around 5k a mouth from rapping on other peoples projects this year though I’m taking my dreams bigger I want to be big .and be a real rapper

I know a lot of people struggle with these things including me, most of my lyrics are about these subjects. I’ve struggled with all these things my whole life, my girl and best friend killed herself while I was sleeping right next to her a year ago with fent. It helps me to write about it but are the subjects too dark? I’ll show some people my stuff and they enjoy it and say the writing is very good but at the same time I almost get uncomfortable from some of the stuff I say. I wouldn’t say these things to people in a conversation unless it was someone very close to me but I can put it down in music. What are your thoughts on this?

I produce my own beats, I write my own songs, I mix my own songs, and I promote my own songs. As a small artist I want to be independent because it’s a good way to save money, but it does take up a ton of time. It’s tough to work with other people because sometimes they don’t believe in my vision. I’ve also realized that creating music and promoting music are two different skills. On one hand it’s good for me to experience the process of promoting music, but on the other hand it gets a bit tedious when you have to be active on social media and build a fanbase overtime.

Should I be independent or should I work with others? What is your experience when it comes down to working with other people?
