I've noticed that the usage of the word "shook" seems to have changed over recent months. Until recently, I'd always seen it as a verb, as in "He shook the table." Now, I'm seeing it as an adjective, as in "I was shook when she told me the news."
Is there an explanation for this change? It's driving me crazy. :)
I've heard "shook" in this adjectival form for at least a decade. It's a little odd in that it's a past tense converted to an adjective, instead of the participle "shaken", but other than that, it's nothing new.
