I’ve had the set since the day it released and it’s an awesome set. Why would someone spend $1000 on it and then keep it in a box unless maybe their “yt fans” push for it? That’s just strange to me tbh
Videogames are a bad comparison as they pretty much lose half there value in the first month. Sure if you want to have resell value go drop 1000 plus on one of these, then you can have something that will hold its value. But if your in it to play why not buy 5 knockoffs that are almost the same quality. Alot more value for your money
Mould King is indistinguishable now, built a 3000 piece set two days ago and didn't break the building experience a single time because of bad molding or broken pieces, their clutch is better too.
Yah and lego is just knock off mega construx. Obviously you've never bought from named Chinese clones, 5 years ago you could say there worst quality but nowadays almost all the issues they used to have are gone

I got this exact set when it came out for Christmas one year but my step dad took it before I can even open it and regifted it to one of his friends kids. He was mad that my grandma spent so much money on me and I never got to even open or build the set. It started a huge family fight but this is one of those sets that I really really want but bring too many bad memories that I can't get it. Sadness.
One of my dream sets. I had an opportunity a few months ago to get this but it was a toss up between this and the UCS Imperial Shuttle. I ended up going with the Imperial Shuttle... although every time I see this I want it more and more lol
