Does Bangla pokkho run BJP's equivalent propaganda narrative of "Hindu khatre mein hain" for Bengalis to attack Hindi speaking people in Bengal?

Yes, I am aware, some of Bangla pokkho's demands are justified like making Bangla mandatory for WBCS exams and making it mandatory for other State govt. exams too. Also about the domicile issue they have raised in context of the NEET scam. Setting these issues aside, how many of you think their work draws parallel to BJP's propaganda of minorities getting large in population and having most of Bengal's wealth. Basically that the majority of the population (Bengalis) of our state are somehow opressed in ways by non Bengalis and policies favouring them over Bengalis. Does anyone else think this is a blatant attempt to polarize the masses and increase hostilities between the two demographics and they mean to emerge as a political front later to gain from this polarization?

That's true. But we are mostly responsible for that. It isn't like Hindi speaking minorities are responsible for this.

Give a direct example. DARVO is a fucked up tool to muddy important conversation and people know it when they see it

One easily noticed difference,

Non Hindu minorities do not have any state infrastructure devoted to giving them an advantage, even when it would be equitable to do so

Hindi speakers in non Hindi majority states, including paschimbanga, have the full backing of a disturbingly large number of government schemes and policies which advantage them over the actual people of that state

Non Hindi people in this country are most definitely khatre mein

Also Hindu in this country can definitely be in danger. If they happen to be unfortunate enough that their Hinduism is considered antithetical to the hegemonic state backed interpretation of it and a general lack of support even within places where its followers by right should have more influence

I would agree to some extent for the first two. The last one makes no sense at all.

A majority will be in danger from a minority? This is demographically impossible.

Show me the proportionate number of people belonging to minority community who hold a powerful office to make an influence?

I don't think Hindi speaking indivuduals have any govt schemes favouring them anywhere over state natives. Could you cite any such schemes?

The fact that central government institutions that have exams for intake always has Hindi as a language that you can take the exam in, even when the institution serves a non Hindi populace, is in itself a favor for Hindi natives

The influx of cheap labor is the cause. An influence on Local culture and social structure is just an effect.

The government of the day has to have an economic policy. Remember at the root of every social unrest lies an economic cause. Sometimes visible, sometimes invisible.

Yes, as I pointed, they are trying to use the same kind of narrative. Well originally the Nazis used this narrative and RSS was inspired from it and Bangla pokkho is just attempting the same. Won't be surprised if they open a political front soon and contest the 2026 state assembly elections. What people don't realize is even if they had administrative power over Bengal, they would still spew hate against non bengalis and find every oppurtunity to blame them for their own failures like what BJP does with Muslims.

Aah yess, I have seen such patterns in the past. Thing is most people in this sub have been brainwashed to believe that Bangalis are in danger at the hands of the minorities. Well Bangla pokkho typically is a neo nazi organization, and a lot their work draws parallel to how RSS was inspired from Nazism. Sadly not a lot of people will realize the buffoonery Bangla pokkho is.
