I'm looking to get started in this hobby by purchasing the Kill Team starter set with Ork Kommandos and Veteran Guardsmen.

Could anyone recommend a beginner-friendly guide and a paint list for each faction? I'd like to get everything I need in one go and dive right in!

I got the terrain piece second hand and I'm searching for the maps/scenarios that use it.

Such as the Death Cult executioner from the Starstriders or the Scream-that-steals ability on the Blades of Khaine howling banshees.

I have been sat reading the rules for the BB, and i don't think the Tactical Assets are the way forward, bar a fringe case for Lookout.

But i am thinking, that Patriarch is, aside from maybe some elite slashing, a bit of a non-pick. However, i am thinking between the Magus and Familiars or Primus and Familiars. I feel the Magus is more the "against certain opponents" while the Primus is the general pick.

Those of you that have had a few games with them, what do you find? Have you had better luck with the Magus, Primus, or even the big old Patrick the Patriarch?

Some quick questions I have on the RT team ability, if someone's got the verdict:

• Can you use a NAVIS operative that has already activated to spot? It says to treat it as a shooting attack, ergo it wouldn't be able to in that case?

• From the spotter you draw Visibility and Cover lines. That means if a target is Concealed or Obscured, you can't use the ability correct?
