What albums would you recommend for someone who loves the new album?
Doesn't have to be Judas Priest.

Absolutely love that album!
Blood of the Nations and Stalingrad by Accept.
Any modern Accept album will do. I feel bad for the folks who dismiss em simply because Udo isn't there. Speaking of which, the latest U.D.O. albums are fantastic as well!
Might be slightly out of the box, but I'd highly recommend Apex and Abyss by Unleash The Archers. Very modern sounding, but classic metal-influenced albums with a killer (female) vocalist.
🥳 ding ding!! Also UTA are a rad crew. So, win-win.
Seconded. Unleash the Archers is incredible.
I want to get into Savatage more, because I absolutely love Hall of the Mountain King (the entire album, not just the title track), but I can't find much of anything that sticks aside from a few songs here and there off the albums that came before.
Megaton Sword, Saxon, Roadwolf, Cloven Hoof, Traveler, Haunt, Gatekeeper, Twisted Tower Dire, Argus, Ambush, Saber, Nocturnal Rites, Stygian Crown, Eternal Champion
Still here?
Blade Killer, Helms Deep, Sabire, Vuture's Vengeance, Kryptos, Fortress, Manacle, Axxion, Hypnos, Steelwing, Mega Colossus
Traveler’s vocalist is impressive
Riot City
That band kicks ass
Great recommendation! Metalian are pretty excellent, as far as modern Canadian Priest-like metal goes:

All of the Savatage albums from 1987 to 2001, would be worth looking into. It is quite a smorgasbord of music. Across their discography you would get to hear two different lead singers with very different voices, guitar players highly proficient but with different styles, rock operas that served as the genesis for the creation of Trans-Siberian Orchestra (and in doing so may have helped to influence Judas Priest into creating Nostradamus, per KK Downing's autobiography), plus American power metal with all the shrieks and screams you could ever want, and also including quite a few lovely ballads all under one roof.
Gamma Ray - No World Order
Night Demon. Enforcer, Hell Biter by the band Ambush. Haunt.
Night Demon's latest album is so good! Probably my most played album of 2023.
Oh shit, I didn't know they had an album last year! I saw them open for Accept in 2018 and they were really good live.
Newest Saxon LP.
Elegant Weapons seems to be a close choice 🤟
Riot - Immortal Soul (2011). Sadly not on Spotify, but you can find it on youtube. For some reason, the chorus in As God is My Witness reminds me of some of Tony Moore's vocal lines on that album, and it is in general a top notch classic heavy metal album.
Invincible Shield reminded me a lot of Accept: the intro in Devil in Disguise immediately remindes me of the riff in London Leatherboys, while Sons of Thunder draws an immediate parallel with Rollin' Thunder.
The title track also brought Hammerfall to mind.
Sumerlands - Dreamkiller
Worship Music and For all Kings by Anthrax.
Two more albums late in a career of a storied legacy metal band at the top of their game. Also, an operatic vocalist who seems to defy age.
Umm….ELEGANT WEAPONS!
And this is why they are touring together
Iron Savior, a German heavy/power metal band from Germany. They just had a new one out last year, really good stuff.
I agree. Piet Sielck and Kai Hansen are both basically from the school of Priest-like music and it shows through
Any recent year albums by accept
Kerrigan: Bloodmoon is one of my recent favorites by a newer/more unknown band. Prequel to Madness by Traveler just came out and anything by them is great. Can't go wrong with Night Demon, Skull Fist, RAM, Wolf, Ironflame.
Apex and Abyss by Unleash The Archers
Look up Andy Sneaps production credits. All those albums sound the same.
Anthem: Crimson and Jet Black
I've thought of Anthem as the "Japanese Judas Priest" for a long time. They have been releasing quality albums for decades and their latest (the aforementioned Crimson and Jet Black from 2023) is awesome.
I definitely think most Judas Priest fans should be Anthem fans too.
Primal Fear - Nuclear Fire & Black Sun
Riot City
Halford band -> Resurrection etc
Early Accept -> Balls to Wall, Breaker, Metal Heart
As this thought has just entered my transom, id like to hear Rob/Priest cover this one ....

I find that Invisible Shield could have been written by Avenged Sevenfold back in the day there were more into this style. Check out City of Evil or the self titled.
…. I disagree but okay …. everyone can have an opinion
Well, the obvious one is firepower.
