IMHO, AI is already far better at stealing our very styles as human musicians than most realize... It doesn't matter if you are me or you or Miles Davis or Taylor Swift or John Coltrane, AI is already 'training itself' on virtually human-produced music that offers potential profits (and on other types of art as well). Then, AI "composers" will sell you back to you, at a profit of course.

If this doesn't scare the pants of every human musician, it's only because not all the musical community has heard about AI using our life's work to 'train itself' yet.

It's not too different from the Borg, in Star Trek. The Borg were a computer/biological hybrid species whose sole motivation was to find other species, who offer something distinctive. The Borg would then enslave them, specifically to acquire their intellectual property as it were.

"We are Borg. Resistance is futile. We will add your distinctiveness to The Collective."
