How Japan became one of the world's great budget destinations
Also became of victim of over-tourism.
I won’t be surprised if Japanese govt in the future takes measures to limit the number of tourists entering the country.
The government wants Japan's tourist numbers to keep increasing, I'm not an expert on Japanese politics at all but the Japanese government seems to want more and more tourists.
Every government wants more tourists, they're are great for the economy, they come in, spend money and receive no government services in return.
Yea I'm not saying its a bad thing, it just has to be managed well. I think Japan can manage it really well, so that tourists and locals are happy. Tourism sucks if not managed well, but when done correctly its a win-win scenario.
Not true. Tourists also cost money directly and indirectly .Think infrastructure, police, fire dept etc
Yes obviously they cost some tiny amount of money, but compare that to eduction, healthcare and pensions that governments pay to residents and they are essentially free.
