Hibiclens question

I was using Hibiclens regularly for under arms and between legs after getting jock itch. A nurse told me today that Hibiclens should not be used on a daily basis as it’s a surgical soap. The only reason you should be using it is because of an active infection or issue like HS or surgery prep.

Can anyone explain it in laymen’s terms ?

I think it might be because it's antibacterial that denatures not only the bad but good bacteria too that protects our skin, destroying the good bacteria disrupts our skin's pH causing dryness and irritation that can lead to infection ❤️ it could lead to antibacterial resistance ❤️

Not a doctor or trying to give a definite answer, but ive heard to use it once a week max but still not sure if thats even correct. (source from yt: dr shereene idriss)

Not a doctor but I was told no more than 4x a week and was only instructed to use it the day of and a few days after my surgery.
