[FRESH ALBUM] Mach-Hommy - #Richaxxhaitian
I waited til 12 am est but now i gotta load up my VPN and tor browser just to read the lyrics š¤¦š¾āāļø
This is my first time hearing and man, he just drops incredible albums every time.
I'm probably missing the joke but why you need a VPN to listen?
the album came out in australia/NZ earlier bc of time zones, VPN let me listen to it earlier than US release at midnight
mach just speaks to me in post IRA northern ireland.Ā
āDarth Vader smoking big skywalkerā š„
With a stargazerā¦.
A strain of magic mushrooms for anyone that doesn't know
even the missus was like "whut he just spit"
copy cold š®āšØ black thought did his thing, never thought iād see a collab w him and mach hommy
conductor williams solidified as one of my favorite producers out rn. been a fan ever since he did euro step on p4p
black thought did his thing, never thought iād see a collab w him and mach hommy
Mach and Black Thought both appeared on Pravda by Your Old Droog, together with El-P and Tha God Fahim. Course its different to a straight collab but, if you havent heard it, its a dope track.
Favourite YOD cut by faaaaar. El and BT's verses are so damn good
damn idk how i missed that. definitely gonna check it out now
off of Droogs album Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition. Probably my fav Droog album.
one of most personal for sure, he really digs deep into his roots
Black Thought gave Mach props on his quest love supreme episode
Euro step is such a good beat lol
Mach-Hommy is an icon. End quote.
Man I'm honestly so glad to see this record at the top of the subreddit, Mach-Hommy's been releasing a near inhuman amount of incredible material in the past decade and this one's probably my favourite of his since like The G.A.T.
Might be a controversial take, but Mach leaving Griselda might be the best thing that could have happened to his career. Griselda have so many classics but they've kinda pigeonholed themselves with their 'signature style' in the last couple of years and Mach's style has always felt more experimental and expansive than theirs.
Heād be great on Griselda and I donāt think theyād hold him back (hence P4H and HBO being among his best work) but I do think making his own lane was a wise move. He got to build his brand his own way and I have yet to hear an album from Mach where anything sounds forced. I feel like the last 3 or 4 years of Griselda have had too many attempts of them trying to appeal to a wider audience and mostly failing at that.
I was just listening to Mach for the first time and loving this and thinking holy shit I love this so much it and it sounds like a weirder Griselda. Now I know whyā¦
This gon be the year I get my python trenchcoat
such a feckin banger
i loved when he said [REDACTED}
Yeah that bar is hard but did you catch the part where he said [These lyrics are intentionally locked and left partial due to a DMCA takedown request. Please do not edit the lyrics to include the removed sections.]
Hard
On track 12. This is already my AOTY.
Just finished. On a first listen my fave tracks are SONJE, COPY COLD, HOLY ____, POLITickle, and SUR LE PONT dāAVIGNON.
international monetary fuuuuuund
I got a monkey on my back & itās a rather heavy one š¤š¤
āLook like I robbed Ben 10 for his wristwatchā might be bar of the year
Definitely the best Ben 10/watch flip Iāve heard in a bar.

DAMN

Never. Impossible.
Sur Le Pont Dāavignonnnnš£ļøš„š„š„š„
Track is insane
Same 24 also goes remarkably hardš„
what the hell was that dog bar from droog lol
Kinda funny the first time but does not beckon me for repeat listensĀ
Album is fire!! Production on point.
The beat on the self-titled track is so good! I had to run it back like three times. This album will definitely stay in rotation for awhile š„š„
Sadhugold laced this up
all mach-hommy certified #investors report here with your vinyl count
Got em all except GAT
Purchased 3 copies of RAH. A tier 2 camo, tier 3 multicolored and a tier 3 Ocean filled
so far so good.
edit: on first listen, the back half of the album is really really solid. it picked up really well and ended on a crazy run.
I actually can't stop playing SUR LE PONT d'AVIGNON
Hes so good š„²
This one of the best records Iāve heard so far this year for sure
Incredible album man. AOTY so far
Yeah man, and I thought Lojji might not be topped, but this is it.
Lojji?
Its really fucking good no surprise. Mach is one of the most consistent rappers around today.
After one listen I already know it's top 3 of the year if not #1.
I just adore the classy production and French bars. 9.5/10
As a long time mach fan, its amazing to see the interaction he gets here now.
My god, I sat with this all day and listened to it front to back probably 3-4 times and as a fan of Mach since 2017, this is a top 5 Mach project maybe even top 3, which Mach fans know, is INSANE. His quality doesnāt falter but his accessibility is at its peak here. If you donāt like this Mach, you donāt like Mach. With that said, this is the highest quality hip hop album released this year.
Wellā¦ Mach-Hommy just undropped this album lol Nowhere to be found on Spotify
Fuckin killing me. Itās still on Apple Music.
3 songs in and this is absolutely incredible.
E: Finished the album multiple times at work today. It's a really good time to be fan of creative hiphop. Mach and Rapsody casually dropped AOTY contenders. Kudos to them.
No surprise I loved it on first listen. If anyone has any books/films about Haiti they could put me on that would be dope. I've read "Black Jacobins" and "Hegel and Haiti". Hope to keep learning.
i liked the biography of Paul Farmer with an emphasis on his work in Haiti, Mountains Beyond Mountains. It does a good job of showing the structural violence underlying Haiti's perpetual "underdevelopment."
"International Monetary Fund, got a monkey on my back and it's a heavy one"
Appreciate you!
Mach really is the greatest of all time
Mach is the fucking goat
Actually yeah, this is nuts. Production is just amazing
Damn this is stupid good. One of his best ones
Same 24 is so classicĀ
All bangers I donāt think thereās one miss, first impressions this might be my favorite Mach project Iāve heard I love this shit
Insane Album fr
heat
This is so fire
Holy shit this album is phenomenal.
Anyone else notice Padon is the same beat as Conway and Joey joint from last week?
Genuinely surprised more people haven't mentioned this
Slightly different in that Camo Monk added guitars to Vertino while this one has piano and is solely produced by SadhuĀ
Both are amazing. We are blessed
This is incredible
Mach-Hommy pushed the culture forward with this album.
I can tell this gonna take a minute to fully digest lyrically but the sounds so refreshing and the vibes are immaculate already. I can tell this gonna get spins. Mach Hommy remains an icon, END QUOTE!
AOTY BY FAR!!!
Gonna be honest, this is the first Mach project Iāve listened to since Pray for Haiti, but this shit might be album of the year for me so far. The production is incredible on every track, and heās killing every one.Ā
This wouldāve been perfect for that āwhich album has no fillerā thread from a couple days ago. I can see a ton of replay value from this one.
Check out Balens Cho. I liked that one more than Pray for Haiti
Bruh said heād send a stocky nigga with a mask like a DOOMposter
why did it come off spotify?
not sure, just noticed it myself when i tried to play it
It's back!
For me, I can see it but all of the tracks are greyed out, except title track, LON LON and HOLY.
Wanted to play it again today and noticed it skipping thru all titles until themtitle track. Sucks
Yeah, for me it completely disappeared for hours and now it's back
for me I can see and play the full album on desktop but the album on mobile shows some tracks missing entirely lol
Mine is on Android, so god knows hahahaha
this and Blue Lips competing for hip hop AOTY in my brain now
Marciology too
Havenāt heard this yet but itās a reminder to listen later. My front runner is currently Erick the architect.
for sure
Greatest album of this century, wow.
Top 3 Mach for me
Best male rapper rn
Who do you have above him?
Any Kaytranada production ?
Yea, on the title track. I think thatās all
Whyās it gone from Spotify? Samples didnāt clear or what?
As someone who never understood the appeal but was aware of the hype I'll say the production now helps me ease into the rhymes. Make no mistake I've always caught and understood but the production just didn't tickle my fancy. This project is well put together for ppl like me on the cusp, digging it so far!
Edit : reminds me of when Westside dropped and you pray for me. That album front to back my goodness, needs so much praise imo
Production going crazy.
Iām gonna be honest, youāre the first person Iāve seen praise And You Pray For Me, at least from front to back.
I only read about how everyone agreed it had a few good songs but this is the first time I havenāt seen someone say the production on it by that one producer was total trash and that Gunn doesnāt work on trap beats.
yeah imo And Then You Pray For Me is probably the worst Westside Gunn project. It just largely lacks everything that makes WSG interesting. Even though I really like a quarter of the album (and Kitchen Lights might be my favourite WSG song), the rest of the album is so mindbogglingly bad that I just can't go back to it.
one producer
Fuck Miguel the Plug
Yea I haven't liked most of Mach's previous work due to the production he typically chooses but this albums production is so fucking nice across the board. Only 3 songs I didn't like and the rest were fantastic. His flow is actually insane. Having a more palatable production made ALL the difference for me with him I am realizing. His flow reminds me of Freddie Gibbs some of the time. Especially on #RICHAXXHAITIAN and the back half of SONJE. This album impressed me thoroughly.
Also I completely agree with your WSG take as well. That album clicked for me much better.
Freddie Gibbs wishes he could make something half as good as this
Personally I'd say Alfredo, Pinata and Bandana all stand up to this. Time will tell as I listen more but those are all extremely good hip hop albums.
Im not a Freddie Gibbs fan. I find him too one note and corny. So might not be the best person to get this comparison.
Alright, but you gotta get over it.
Or what?
Pinata is the best hh album of the last 10 years
Not in my book.
On first listen 3 of my fav. tracks are ANTONOMASIA, SURE LE POINT d'AVIGNON (Reparation #1), + GUGGENHEIM JEUNE
Anticipate my appreciation for this project growing w/ repeat listening
Appreciate him switching it up a bit and trying out new stuff to keep it fresh n varied
Listened to it a couple of times and love it. Really like the Sonje track.
Wooo only halfway through but this could easily be the best production since Pray for Haiti
Love it
Very smooth so far, loving POLITickle
The Serpent and the Rainbow straight beautiful
motherfuckers be havin the dog in em but it's a poodle
mothefuckers be havin a dog in em but it's another dog raping em
on two legs, homosapien
Simultaneously the best/worst lyric I've heard in a while
I bet no one can transcribe the Richaxxhaitian title track lyrics
Oh wtf. I decided to give Mach a try and am more than halfway through. Didn't know it was brand new.
I love this dude's production. Who the producer?
Mainly Conductor Williams & Sadhugold
Mach is the producer. The beat makers are August Fanon, Sadhu Gold, Conductor Williams, Quelle Chris, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Fortes, Kaytranada and maybe one more.
nigga riding the dick hard
Nah I just understand what producing is and what beat making isnāt
Surprised thereās no The Alchemist beats on here
I'm not surprised, they haven't worked together in some years. It's rumored they had a falling out.
This feels like the album I was hoping Joey would drop in 2022. A very accessible version of Mach that hits every vibe perfectly.
One of the strongest hip hop albums of the year if not THE.

Good shout š
I love this project, Mach Hommy is absolutely incredible.
Him either sampling Besame Mucho or sampling it on GORGON ZOE LAN is very unexpected
Album is top 3 from him I think and best this year so far from anyone.
This is his best yet.
Question he still with griselda? Or was that just like a 1 album deal?
1 album deal
Stupid YOD verse ruined the song for me. He should just shutup with his edgy ass.
can we talk about how bad Droogs verse was
Am I the only guy who finds the bars in the thread so mediocre?
Same
Kinda like a āseee?!!! We donāt hate each otherā Even though they prob do.. lol
For who? Sorry if out of the loop.
Mach hommy had a falling out with the Griselda guys. I think him and Bennie actively donāt like each other at all still.
Pray for Haiti was him working with Westside for the first time since they had the ā falloutā
But then they immediately went back to not talking again. Or at least not making music together.
So you guys are saying this is better than Pray for Haiti?
At least on the same level, the songs with Thought, Cheeko and Roc Marci are definitely as good if not better. Some are saying itās Machās best but I still probably prefer Dumpmeister and HBOĀ
Absolutely
Who produced it?
Conductor Williams, August Fanon, Sadhugold, Quelle Chris, and Fortes
Can't listen to it on Spotify rn, anyone else can't either? In the uk btw
same, was fine on Sunday š¤·
same
finally got the Mach x Roc collab. Mach might have an instant classic
The serpent and rainbowās production is so pure
Fuegooooo
finally some good stuff since all these tapes after Pray for Haiti were mediocre at best
Balens Cho is very good and Wap Konn Jojj is good too
The latter actually came out in 2019, just got uploaded onto streaming later and the dateās wrong
True, I just thought Pray for Haiti came out earlier than it did. COVID has fucked my time perception of the last half decadeĀ
listened to the whole thing via VPN and YouTube already, gotta say this is probably already top 5 Mach for me. great features throughout and nice combination of the different styles of his previous projects
