I met a retired guy down at Phantom Ranch on Friday who runs a hundred miles a month in the canyon.
Runs down from the south rim in the pre dusk, hangs around during the day at Phantom and runs back up at nightfall.
Says he loves the challenge.
Meanwhile I'm on the next bench over, totally trashed my two day descent from the North Rim and a late morning pass through The Box.
