So I bought a strawberry plant in a pot which also has mint in the centre. I was wondering if I should remove the mint? I heard that mint is really invasive so that’s why I’m a bit concerned that it will kill my strawberry plant if I leave it in there
Mint spreads quickly, and you should never plant it in the ground because it can easily get out of control. However, I find it really easy to pull out roots and runners from potting soil, and I have no qualms about planting mint with other plants. I know that a few times during the growing season I will have to pull out chunks of it so it doesn't overwhelm everything else, but that's easy peasy.
