[Sky Sports F1] "He's not going to change." Christian Horner has warned Lando Norris to expect the same 'tough' racing from Max Verstappen ahead of the British Grand Prix.

People were hitching about Lando being too soft to rave Verstappen, now they’re bitching about him being too aggressive and how he should yield. Make it make sense.
I don't. I'm bitching that he hasn't got the racecraft to give us the good battles. I wish Max could change but I've given up on that. Norris becoming a better driver is still worthy of bitching.
Wtf did you want him to do if Max turned into him in the braking zones? Teleport in front of him? This wasn’t an issue with Lando’s racecraft.
Better positioning. Better learning. Not showing his hand with early half hearted attempts. Better racecraft
What positioning can he make? He tries to go on the inside, Max covers it, he switches to the outside, Max moves to the outside and squeezes him out.
Seriously, tell me specifically how you can overtake someone that weaves in the braking zone. No vague “just learn”, tell me how he should have acted.
I can't be dealing with this. It seemed sloppy to me. Take it or leave it.
You see? It’s easy to talk shit, not so easy to back it up. Lando did fine, you can’t overtake cleanly when the guy ahead doesn’t let you. He’s not the first person to crash like this, and he probably won’t be the last either.
you can’t overtake cleanly when the guy ahead doesn’t let you.
Funny because Charles did it many times in 2022. Hamilton did it quite a bit too in 2021 before things got heated.
Why are you assuming that Max always defends like that? He doesn’t. This isn’t even about Max specifically, it’s not like he invented moving under braking, he’s just the most recent example.
Besides, saying “X driver has been overtaken without issue in the past” isn’t exactly a flex. It’s like saying “I’ve passed breathalyzer tests in the past”. Like, good for you, but it’s kinda expected that you’d pass all of them.

So which is it? Can Max be overtaken cleanly or not?
As I said, of course he can. As he can overtake cleanly and race wheel to wheel cleanly. He’s an incredibly skilled driver, he just often does it because it’s easier, and because he’s seldom penalized, usually only when a crash happens. I’m telling you that “he adhered to the rules in the past” isn’t exactly a good defense argument.
Rubbish.
Max pulled the move he did because he knew that Norris wasn't attempting to overtake at T3. He knew that by being behind at the DRS line, and using the outside line to do the cutback, Norris would have him easy down the following straight.
So he took the cynical approach to cut it off there and then.
