Mildly inspired by u/secular_contraband 's post about lamb's quarters (https://www.reddit.com/r/foraging/comments/1cb25kq/okay\_why\_did\_nobody\_tell\_me\_how\_delicious\_lambs/ ), I'm wondering what else we might be missing out on?

There are a lot of foraged foods that are kind of meh -- what are the underrated standouts? What's something you skipped or didn't know about for a long time and wish you had tried earlier?

I only found out that magnolia blossoms are edible this year and I am super into them. Shagbark hickory nuts and northern spicebush berries are also foods I only got into in the past ~2-3 years and wish I had tried sooner.
