Never knew it was possible but I was called outside by the commotion of my family and there were quarter sized small ice on the floor coming down. Very cool to see for the first time. Even got a little breezy for once lol.
Was this today? (Saturday)?
Yes
😲
Where?? What neighborhood/city/area??
Lake Worth got it.
Yeah I was driving from Lake Worth to Boynton and got hailed on. The wind was briefly so strong that the car was starting to move.
Same/similar. ...Lantana on way to Boynton. Pretty wild.
Not South Florida.
Saw it as well in eastern Lake Worth, it's been a long time since I've seen it
West Lake Worth, too!
Lol I meant western, I've moved recently.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
good bot
Grew up in Palm Beach County and have seen it multiple times. Happens more than you’d think!
It happens in North Florida.
Happened in Central as well. Only pea size though.
I live in Central Florida, and in hailed last year in April damaging skylights in a bunch of my neighbors homes as well as the siding of some houses. The hail was nowhere near pea sized!
I got caught out on a bridge during that, right after I dropped comprehensive on my car 😞
Really? Was it during the thunder storm. I didn’t notice hail from Orlando.
About 4:30 when the storm came through. Was out starting the grill and heard some sporadic pinging in the rain. Ran to the front yard and saw the hail bouncing on the road and pinging my truck. Grabbed some cardboard to throw on the truck hood to hopefully save it from little dents.
My umbrella was destroyed in 2022 by hail in Cooper City
Yep you're probably in the same area I'm in. It lasted for a while too. I've only seen it hail here a handful of times.
Seen it once before in the late 1990’s as we were sitting on the beach in Deerfield, quarter size hail and it hurt lol
Where exactly?
Following. We had some thunderstorms while I was at work (5:30-6:30 ish). But no hail in northwest Broward.
North Broward
It's not the first time it hails in miami. And where today? It hasn't rained a drop lol
I’m in SWFL and I think I’ve never sweat as much as today. There was no hail here.
Humidity so high it's called SUPER SATURATION
I've only seen it once. It was in the 90's in Davie. I was at a buddies and like a sun shower, it started hailing. Some were golf ball size after 5 minutes, and it was done and gone. I live in a community across the street (60 seconds), and it didn't hail there. This was the one and only time I saw that.
This is so odd. I always assumed south Florida got hail just as often as we do in North Central Florida.
Greenacres, too. Exploded against the windows.
Wonder why when it’s so hot out ?
It all depends on if the wind forces rain back up into the cloud layer, and then it freezes. Has nothing to do with temperature at ground level but obviously it won’t last long once it hits the ground.
Wow never knew that thanks
I've seen it more often during hurricane season than not, last time I saw it (2006 or 2007 can't remember exactly) my dad had to change his windshield as it busted due to golf ball size hail. It was mid July.
🤓
Can we have some? This heat is insane today.
Hail doesn't cool anything down. It's not associated with cold weather like snow is lol. It'll hail on a 110° summer day and you'll still be just as hot as you were before but now you're all bloody and have 100 dents in your car.
Good point. This is what happens when I reddit drowsy lol.
You want hail?! That's chunks of ice that damage homes and cars. Hail is bad.
Not massive hail! Lol
Turnpike Bo
West Palm here and we had it too.
In what city did it hail? In Sarasota we have a chance of hail today i just read.
I live in Fort Lauderdale and it has hail before here .
That’s why have had barometric pressure headache all day 🤕
Just expect anything and everything from our weather. Seen it all except snow, but even that happened the year before I was born. The weather is as bipolar as the people here.
Wait until you find out what happened in SoFla in January 1977!
those storms yesterday were crazy, my friend in west lake worth got hail too
I drove in that nightmare! Just as I was getting off the turnpike my car started to get pelted with hail. Fun times. 😅
A result and function of Thunderstorms. The more violent the wind currents are, the chances for hail formation are increased significantly . . .
Yeah it hails I live in w.p.b and I can't even count the times I've seen it hail
I was living in Miramar in 1976 when it snowed. It is possible...
I don’t believe you climate change won’t allow it. It’s suppose to be very hot 🥵
Usually means conditions are right for a tornado as well….
Guys I’m not about to drop my city and neighborhood
Oh right...ur a spy.
I heard report the Vero beach got some
It happens all the time, but it’s definitely cool the first time you see it!
