Just a boring comparison, white balance fixed at 4500K, auto exposure and shutter. I dedomed my 519A and it definitely looks more distinctive. I know 519A is always better, but it's hard to say it has any huge advantages over my lh351d, At least in some scenes without red stuff.
I think so, but have you tried Convoy's green coated lenses? They may reduce some of the green tint, at least relative to the purple coating.
A bad LH351D would have an excess of green but also lack a lot of red, which is beyond what a coated lens can fix. You've really won the lottery! These brown colors look really good and suggests an R9 in excess of 80.
Meanwhile, I believe I lost the DUV lottery with the 519A 5700K. The reason I dedomed it is that, at least in my eyes, it feels too green-blue and creates a livid atmosphere outdoors. After dedomed, I think the pinkish-orange tint is a bit too much, but it is indeed distinctive.
I dislike 519A 5700K dedomed for general use as well. Too pink/purple looking. It's more tolerable in nature with more green/brown present to hide the pink, but the pink looks very artificial to me indoors. I like more neutral tint. I personally really like the domed 519A 5700K but I wish it were more throwy for more versatile outdoor use.
Oof, that's tough! I find that the color binning (CCT and tint) tends to be looser at higher CCTs even for the same emitter, and with the 5700K I've noticed more variance compared to lower CCTs.
Also, high CCT light tends to look green-blue in low intensities even if it's neutral. (Conversely, even very green light can look neutral in high intensities, like afternoon sunlight.)
I used to like orange-pink tint in the past but now also prefer neutral tint. The pink makes foliage look super weird and puts a blue-grey cast on everything.
BTW, why do I have to use the App to post in order to have a thumbnail, it doesn't make sense.
Because Spez and Co want you to use the app.
some LH351D really look excellent. I kept mostly only the 4000k ones (tried all CCT in FC11, lots of green in the 5000k and 2700k).
but OTOH all cct versions of the sp36 with LH351D looked fantastic. and my old wurkkos wk30 has an excellent 5000k in it, too.
You must've won the tint lottery with that lh351d, mine are greeeen
