Probably not infected in only two days. If you don't let it scab and keep it moist which a lot of people recommend (I dont) it will look like that, especially right after getting it wet. I just had a similar accident, cleaned for first two days, one application of Vaseline and then let it fully dry and scab. It's now 17 days layer and I'm still healing but no infection. Regardless of how it looks, you will have other symptoms of infection like a fever and an increasing warmness around the wound. Itching is ok. I would definitely have it checked out if you have a fever.
