I don't know if this counts as help flair but anyways so I have 160,371$ I want something that is powerful but also easy to operate which one should I get? [SOLVED]
Looking to buy a telehandler which one should I get?
LF - HELPThey have different boom lengths. The claas reaches the highest.
Oh I haven’t t noticed, thanks. I never stack high enough to see the limit.
I'd try them out on a test map and see what you like. They all have different weight classes (heavier mean it can lift more) and boom lengths/reach.
If you look at JCB, their naming convention usually tells you what they can lift. A 542.70 is a 500 series/telehandler (JCB uses 500 for the telescopic loaders, wheel loaders are 400) with 4.2t lift capacity up to 7m
Claas Scorpion is my personal fave
Scorpion FTW
Personally I like a wheel loader over a tele handler, what you loose in boom length you gain in stability imo
I feel like wheel loaders are a pain in the ass to drive and control but idk maybe I'll like it.
I mostly hate any articulated steer because of the auto center steering
This is indeed the biggest issue for people
Seriously, why do all articulated vehicles auto center, they don't auto center irl. At least the ones I've operated
They do to an extent
You can disable that in settings I recall… or can you for this game?
Not in any settings I've seen, at least on console. Man I need a pc
Aw man. I could swear I’ve seen one of those settings, at least for wheel controllers, in one of the FS games.. on console. 👀
I don't have a wheel either, still just xbox controller. The struggles. But I manage lol. Looking forward to getting the cool kids toys some day
Yeah, I admit: I’ve had my wheel(s) for past… 20 years? 😂 I mean I had a Logitech Driving Force back on PS2 and got a G29 now… but barely ever use ’em on FS games. Maybe one day I’ll get the ”Farming Sim wheel set” with all the stuff..
Yeah it’s wierd.especially when dealing with pallets.i do like the articulated tractors when using large equipment though makes turning around easier and can sometimes save you from having to reverse to line up
Yes. That is my biggest complaint of the game. No loader, skidder ,or articulated tractor puts itself back straight like thry do in the game. If real life machines did that it would cause alot of unwanted damage and injuries to product or people that are in the swing zone as it does so in the game.
Honestly the base game JCB is my usual goto telehander when I finally upgrade from front loaders.
Either the jcb or manitou are my go to telehandlers as I've used them IRL so it's like taking a trip down memory lane.
Personally, I love the Merlo on modhub.
Comparatively cheap and the ability to add a 3 point hitch means you can use it to move implements around your yard or add weights as needed.
Yep merlo with a 1500 weight and a bag lifter you can move most things. The telehandler trailer mover is also fantastic when your hooking up land trains

Merlo also on console (might be lizard) it's green
I have seen a lot of people using those. I will try that thank you.
This is also my goto telehandler, a must-have for any of my farms.
It is Merlo on console. Love that thing. Often use it as my starting tractor 🤣
Alright! I wasn't sure 👍
If your tele struggles to lift you can use the 3point hitch mod that attaches to the back then hook a heavy weight to it. Probably not reckon mended for rl tho...
JCB every time,
I recommend the jcb if your going for basgame just cause it’s big or if modded I’d go merlo cause it has a lot you can do with it
I always go JCB
Depends on what u need it for
Lightweight stuff then get a small one
Heavy loads go for a more bulky and powerful one
Need a all rounder? Go in the middle
Maybe a frontloader for a tractor could be a cheap solution?
Tried that but it's just harder to use and inconvenient for me.
There are some small ones and some bigger ones, like the class, NH, manitou. They all pretty much work the same, the biggest difference is weight. The heavier the telehandler, the more weight it can lift. They should all be under 160k.
