What is amon ras value I got an offer for the 1.05 and a late 2nd for him. That's not enough, but what is? (Ppr dynasty)
1.05 and a wr like Nico collins
Ya, you definitely need to get a stud player in return. Picks canāt get it done.
Think you nailed it.
Something like this and nothing less. Sun God is a PPR God too. Even if you're in half point, 100 catches is always incredible. And unlike some smaller WR that can get the receptions and yards, he can also get the TDS.
Collins is a spectacular young WR on an up and coming offense with enough talent around him to spread the wealth but still come back to Collins enough to have huge weeks and solid floors.
Then the 1.05 is high enough that you could either snag a big pick at spot you need or package it up with another pick and or player for an improvement elsewhere.
That's my logic at least.
I like it. I would maybe still keep Amon but thatās a pretty darn even offer.
Iām begging people to avoid Nico. Heās the exact type of guy you try and unload this offseason for an Amon-Ra because his stock will never be higher.
I think the thought process is good I.e. 1.05 plus a good player. But Iād try and get Tank Dell or someone else over Nico.
You would try and get Tank Dell over Niko?
Are you smoking crack?
Iām sorry but if thatās controversialā¦. š¬
Nico did nothing for two years. Tank is two years younger and was drafted by this regime and will unquestionably be the WR1 over Nico unless the Texans get a FA like Higgins or draft someone in this stacked class in which case Nico gets pushed down to WR3. Nico is a picture perfect sell candidate to try and get an elite guy like Amon-Ra.
Tank Dell will not be a traditional WR1. Heās 5ā10ā and 165, heās not winning a ton on the outside or playing traditional X and Z roles.
I mean I agree. But the point here is that he is going to be considered more valuable than Nico long term with that team. The chances of the Texans adding a Tee Higgins type player in FA or the draft are very high. Tank likely the WR2 moving forward with Nico the WR3. But hey maybe Iām wrong. But all the evidence at this point leads to Nico being a major sell.
Tee Higgins is not going to the texans lmao. You sound kinda clueless. Probably haven't watched a second of nico this year. Looks like the best player on the field every game
I donāt really know why Iām getting into it with someone who thinks thereās a 0% chance the Texans signs/drafts a WR this year indicating that they have no clue what theyāre talking aboutā¦ but here we go.
No one has ever said that Nico wasnāt a solid player. The point, which is about 71829 miles above your head, is that heās a third round draft pick taken two coaching regimes ago who did absolutely nothing until this year. He is the EXACT kind of player that gets swept under the rug when a new, better wideout comes on the team. And again, if you think that isnāt a possibility you are at best daft, and at worst a troglodyte of exceptional proportions who belongs as close to a discussion about football as they do in a nuclear physics laboratory.
To conclude - is it possible that Nico is the WR1 moving forward? Sure. Is the likelihood good? No. Is AJ brown a significantly better bet than Nico collins is? 100/100 times absolutely he is.
Dude, Tank is great and all, but he was also taken in the 3rd round and heās right around the same age as Nico. His draft position and age is not a good argument over Nico. Heās just a shiny new player that is talented and exciting.
The most likely scenario is that Houston runs it back with the same wideout room and spends draft and cap space on OL and defence. Nico and Tank have skillsets that really compliment each other. I think the coaching staff and Stroud love both of them.
Nico and tank are the same ageā¦
Yeah I didnāt realize that. Thatās wild.
Either way the point still stands. Tank did this year what Nico couldnāt in three. And he was taken by this coaching regime. Tank >>>>>> Nico every time.
Are you sure this doesn't have a lot more to do with the fact that Davis Mills was throwing the ball to Nico for 2 years instead of Stroud rather than necessarily being any real indictment of Nico?
Really good WRs usually do well with Garbo QBs. You should only be moving Amon ra for really good players.
Againā¦ we are focusing on the wrong issue. He will be the WR3 if (when) the Texans bring in a big name FA or draft an early round rookie.
I'm not talking about moving him and 1.05 for ARSB, I'm not saying I would as I'm extremely high on ARSB. I'm talking about Nico inherently as a sell.
Totally disagree on the second paragraph. Tank doesn't have the size or build to be the 1st option on any team. And I love Tank.
Nico has prototypical size and hands for the position. The fact that he didn't break out until his 3rd season is meaningless for his future trajectory. Not all rookie WRs are Puka Nucua or follow the same career path, development-wise. Nor is the organization going to have some sort of bias in the structure of their depth chart simply because they didn't draft Nico themselves.
The idea that the Texans are just going to add a superior receiver through free agency or the draft is purely speculative at this point, which you could do for any team in January. It's not like they don't already have two good WRs and a solid TE1, so it's nothing more than an assumption to suggest they'll add a bigger name to that group.
Tank Dell is only about 6 months younger than Nico, and Nico did actually show some talent in his first two years making some really nice plays, just not a high volume of them. I donāt think the gap is that big.
Nico is solid. Not saying he isnāt. Whole point here is when the Texans add a wide out (which is a very likely possibility this offseason) itāll be Nico, not tank who gets his targets cut.
Thatāll definitely be the narrative if they do invest in a premier receiver, but I think we all know that these narratives donāt always play out the way we assume they will. Which is why Iāll take the insulated side of the deal. I donāt think Nico ever becomes a zero just because heās attached to stroud.
I also donāt really think tee higgins will be the add, because his play style is similar to Nico. Not to cherry pick the one example you put out that I disagreed with but I think everyone assumes theyāll be in the market for higgins when in my opinion they already have someone who fills that type of role. They can of course draft somebody but a lot is to be seen.
Youāre not wrong. I just think that the Nico side is by far the riskiest part of the dealā¦ youāre hoping that the 1.05 turns into half of what Amon ra already is and then hoping that Nico continues that stretch this year. Both big ifs.
And yeah I mean Tee is just the first name that pops into my head. But even a less talented WR that they pay big bucks to moves Nico to WR3
Lol he can definitely still rise in rankings buddy. If you have watched him, you aint selling
Everyoneā¦ this guy is your target. Go trade him Nico and some trash for AJ brown or Amon Ra
āSome trashā is the 1.05 which is projected to be a top 5 nfl pick right now according to tankathon
Youāre focusing on the wrong thing my man lol
How so? The history of fantasy assets being drafted in the top end of the 1st round, especially top 5, shows they typically end up being pretty damn good. Most years youāre lucky to get one or two guys drafted in that range, this year itās projected that all 5 are gonna be fantasy assets.
Itās difficult to even draw comps because itās so rare that receivers or RBās go top 5. Most of your favorite receivers were lucky to be drafted top 10, this year theres 2 projected to be taken within the first 5 picks.
Chase, stroud, Arich, tlaw, burrow, Pitts, chase, waddle(6th overall), tua, herbert(6th overall), Kyler, saquon, baker kinda makes this list after the past few weeks I guess? Iām pretty sure youād take any of these pieces + Nico for amon ra in a heart beat outside of baker.
The only true misses you have are the qbs like Lance, zach Wilson, darnold, & Bryce young since 2018. Obviously we canāt predict the draft order in January, but Iām not gonna act like I know more than a database thatās collecting from more resources than I have time to look at so Iām gonna value the picks that way, and also not gonna discount nicoās production
Sorry to ramble, but most of the times Iāve found myself kicking the dirt over a trade-I was on the side sending 2 good pieces for 1 great one. If that 1.05 ends up making that first list I made then youāre the big winner in my opinion.
Itās not about the draft pick, itās that the draft pick is the good part of the deal. Nico is not the kind of guy Iām moving Amon ra for even if Iām getting the first.
I donāt think many people who own a top 4-5 pick are going to give you much more than Nico to get to ARSB. And I love him as much as the next guy
3 firsts?
Itās a risk!
True, but thatās where Iād cave personally
I traded amon ra for puka and a first rounder
Seems decent for both sides.
Yeah I felt okay with the deal
If you are rebuilding you should be rebuilding around Amon-ra. If you are a contender you should be riding Amon-ra's back to the ship. I can't imagine why you would want to trade him for some draft picks.
He should be treated like a top five dynasty WR until further notice. Heās a monster. The only reason you should trade a guy like him is for a massive overpay.
Drafted Amon Ra @ 23 this year. That will never happen againš¤£ I think he will probably be mid to low first rounder in 10 man leagues
But I would take the 1.05 if heās willing to give you an enticing player as well
For me, nothing St Brown is a top WR, and I would not trade him.
Sun God is a proven stud and he is young. Keep him. Only way I'd consider a trade if for the 1.01 so you could take a chance on MHJ. But even then, Sun God is a proven stud.
If you have Amon-Ra Iām not sure why you would even try and trade him
Just to clarify. I was offered the 1.05 and a 2nd for him. I rejected it. But it got me wondering what his value was. I am not actively trying to trade, but I am interested in knowing how others perceive hos value.
I made the trade week 1 and ended up with 1.01, 1.12, AJ Dillon, and a 3.01 for him. The guy who wanted him had a terrible team so I chanced it for 2 firsts. Team was deep at wr. Have laporta and jamo so wanted to diversify off the lions some and was a huge MHJ fan but could also use another qb.
Helllll no. Personally Iād need 3 firsts for him
Amon ra for just picks wouldnt get done for me. I traded him earlier this year but I got back DJ moore, 1.12 and a 2nd.
amon ra is a top 5 WR and young, arguably one of the highest valued assets in dynasty. do not trade him.
Early this season I got him and a 2025 2nd, for Kittle, Mixon, and my 2025 first.
Drake London, Javonte Williams, the 2.01 and 2.02 were traded for AmonRa in my 12tm SF PPR, to give you an idea of value.
4 nickels for a quarter
I think Drake London is more of a half dollar at this point, but your point still stands lol
I just traded 1.03, 1.08 and a 25 2nd (mid-early probably) for Amon-Ra.
Top 5 dynasty wide receiver for someone who hasnāt played an NFL snap. Unless you need a QB desperately and are hoping daniels or maye falls to 1.05 there is no way this should be considered.
Amon is worth more then 1.02 but a little less then 1.01. So you are getting completely ripped if you trade for the 1.05
I wouldnāt trade him for 1.01. Best case scenario, you get someone as good as him. Whatās the upside of that risk for no gain?Ā
If Marvin Harrison goes to the chargers I would 110% take him over Amon. Argument to take him over Amon regardless he is 3 years younger and an insane talent.
Hasnāt played a single snap in the nfl
Amon ra is already putting up elite numbers. And is still quite young for a wr
Lmao why? So that maybe one day if heās good enough he could live up to the hype and put up 1500 yards & 10 TDs like Amon Ra just did while missing a game?
That is probably the dumbest take Iāve heard on here all season
I mean he is 24 right now rookie year solid, and 2 really really good years. To me I wouldn't even think about trading him. Unless you think at that pick your getting a stud who can help you this year or next year. But unless I have like 3 elite recievers and St.Brown I wouldn't do it.
In my opinion he is the most consistent receiver in fantasy.
Personally, I wouldnāt trade ARSB unless I get a haul. Heās young and etched in firmly on a good offense. My price is probably high because Iām a contender but Iād accept a 1.01, 1.03-1.05, and someone in a tier like Drake London, plus a young throw in (Jameson Williams or something)
Right there with Chase and Ceedee basically elite. Not gonna mention Jefferson cause heās WAYYYY overpriced give me any of these 3 before Jefferson
Sorry-dynasty mindset.
Bought him midseason for what turned out to be the 1.07, 1.11, and 2.07 this year. I'd go back and do that trade any day of the week. If someone wanted to buy him from me that conversation better start with the 1.03 or a top 12 asset like G Wilson because I'm not tiering down past that.
People value picks way too much. Most are busts. Take the star players every time.
I was sitting at #1 in my league and I traded 2 first rounders in next years draft to a rebuilder for him at the week 13 deadline. I'm glad I did and it locked me in to win my league for the first time.
Heās currently valued right behind Marv. Now the reality is that no ra holder would sell for marv straight up. Personally would not sell ra for anything less than like GW and a mid first, but heās not a guy you should be selling.Ā
I would need the 1-3 pick and another stud player. I know everyone brings up PPR with Amon-Ra but this season his consistency has put him in the top 5 WR.
With that 1.05 pick you could possibly end up with a player like ARSB!
In my dynasty league I traded ARSB and Roschon Johnson for a 2026 1st, 2 2025 2nds, for Tank Dell and Jameson Williams and I still regret it. Donāt trade him for anything honestly
I took TLaw and the 1.05. 2QB PPR 12team,
Amon ra feels unattainable. If I have him in certainly not selling. Especially in PPR.
I know JJ, Chase, CD are ranked / rated higher but idk if I would send Amon Ra straight up for any of them. Kind of reminds me of the Bijan / Gibbs debates going on. No one is really swapping one for the other
I offered 3 firsts and 2 seconds and was turned down.
At my leagues trade deadline I offered Puka and Addison for Amon Ra and was turned down
The only way selling a player like Amon Ra works is if you are getting return value that fills up the empty spots in your squad. Outside of that, its hard to make the choice to get rid of him for just picks, as all picks, even 1.01, are a major gamble.
I'd consider amon ra to be my #2 overall reciever in dynasty. No way I'd trade him unless it was for an absolute steal.
Need an established player. Amon Ra is like a top 15 player in dynasty rn
I donāt know that there is any amount of picks that would be worth it. What could you possibly get back in the draft that would be worth it? Obviously some rookies will have good seasons, but itās a big risk.
