Looking at some guys who I consider actual buy lows (aka, not a stud who had one bad week against a good defense, but guys who have actually seen their value take a hit for good reason but could reverse)
Garrett Wilson
Why I think Owners are Panicking: Zach Wilson. Jets Offense either being terrible or relying on the run. Disappointment on wasting high draft capital on Garrett.
Why I'm Buying (within Reason): Garrett is actually averaging almost 13 ppg (ppr), and I think Zach does look more competent this year. The Jets were able to run all over a nonexistent Broncos defense, and while they will most likely try to remain run heavy, I believe they will be forced to pass the ball more. Even in this down week Garrett had 7 targets, but people were expecting a big game against that Broncos D and are almost certainly down on him.
Courtland Sutton
Why I think Owners are Panicking: Targets decreased in past two weeks, Jeudy is back and Mims has emerged. Broncos don't look great.
Why I'm Buying (for CHEAP): Sauce and a very good Jets D took him out of the game last week and I don't think we'll see another dud like this. Also, potential he or Jeudy gets traded in the coming weeks, either freeing up more targets or sending him to a better situation (potentially).
Jeudy could be targeted for similar reasons, but I think Sutton may be easier to acquire.
Saquon Barkley
Why I think Owners are Panicking: Giants look terrible. Coming off injury and might not play again this week. I have him in one league where I'm winless, and may be forced to traded him for a lesser RB that I can play this week.
Why I'm Buying : Proven stud, the giants offense moves through Saquon when healthy. If he comes back and has a decent or better game the buy window will be closed. If you can acquire him for a guy you consider a borderline RB1 or lower, I'd do that all day.
Rhamondre Stevenson
Why I think Owners are Panicking: Pats look terrible, he's been unproductive and getting scripted out of games.
Why I'm Buying (for Cheap): He is probably the only talented player on the abysmal Pats offense and I think Billy B will find ways to get him involved. I am only buying him if its for CHEAP, but he was regarded as a solid RB2 coming into the season and I think the schedule looks a bit better moving forward.
Jeff Wilson
No panic section here because he hasn't played yet, but I'm getting him wherever I can grab him for cheap. Maybe offer another healthy underperforming RB (looking at you Miles Sanders) and grab him before he plays, because if he splits carries anywhere close to 50% with Mostert, you're gonna want a part of that offense. We really don't know the extent of Achane injury yet, but if he is moved to IR or worse in the coming days, Wilson's value will see a big boost.
Honestly, the buy window could be over here but I'd still try and grab him.
