For context, this post is in-relation to my initial post, which may be found here:

So, besides the publisher of Preston Glass -- I have likewise received thus far a response from the performance rights organization of Canadian songwriter Christopher Booth. This P.R.O. is known as S.O.C.A.N. The P.R.O. offered to contact him on my behalf, so that I could ask him whether-or-not the song in-question is indeed his.

Thus far, Mr. Booth has not contacted me -- nor have any of the other parties I attempted to establish contact with, besides the publisher of Preston Glass, as-mentioned above.

I initially was not sure if I should make this post or-not, given this investigation's ongoing status, and because I'm still awaiting confirmation on a number of potential leads. Progress is to be made, and I wouldn't want to mislead anyone with a premature impression.

However, in researching this Christopher Booth character, I found a music channel on YouTube belonging to a keyboardist -- also named Christopher Booth. And what's more -- he lives relatively-near the Canadian border, in Washington State. However, this man is at least circa 40-years-of-age, seeing as he said he was 18 in 2001. Could a 16-year-old make an 80s cover like that, in 1999, and get it played all-the-way in Spain? He also only mentioned producing instrumental music. So I can't say this is by-any-means a "foolproof" -- let-alone definite -- lead. This Christopher Booth's discography seems entirely to consist of instrumentals.

Mr. Booth has not responded to my inqueries.

Please do not spam him, but this is his YouTube channel:

These are links to interviews of him. Draw your conclusions as you see fit regarding whether-or-not his voice fits that of our singer:

All possibilities must be considered -- but I believe the original singer is a white, Canadian or U.S. male, circa 20-25 years of age at the time of the song's recording, who was maybe active in Toronto or N.Y.C.

Christopher Booth's songwriter profile included an alias -- "Christopher Saint". So, does that mean the song would be listed somewhere as: Christopher Saint -- "Ulterior Motives" (1985)?

One idea could be to promote this song with advertisements on YouTube.

Specifically in L.A., N.Y.C., Toronto, Madrid, Seoul, Tokyo, and Manilla.

Thank you for your time,

I will keep you posted.
