why some beans are so dark and glossy?
Oh, these are caramelized coffee beans! Recently discovered coffee with some % of caramelized beans for myself, and highly recommend to try it out! :)
That's an interesting remark about the caramelized beans.
I know caramelizing food releases the sugars. So do you think is the chance you'll get a sugar build up somewhere in your espresso machine?
Hm… that could be a case! But I guess, as ground beans are only placed in the portafilter, only it could be affected!
I guess it depends on the machine. A machine with day solenoid valve, the pressure is released and some of that caramelized coffee water will make its way through the group.
Maybe it's not a big deal if it's cleaned with confixa every so often
