It’s going to dominate the entire US minivan market uncontested.
Sigh, dealer markup is gonna be painful…

Nobody is buying a minivan with a real life range of 200 miles.
I’ve been waiting forever for this to come out. $50k at 260 mile range, wtf?!?!
Edit - apparently the price was made up.
“While we know that Pro S, Pro S Plus, and a special Launch Edition variants will all be offered, VW hasn't said how much the ID.Buzz will cost. However, current market pricing for EVs leads us to expect it will start at around $50,000.”
This. I don't even think the range is as big a deal as the price. If they had a reasonable price people would put up with shorter range.
Agreed. I will say, minivans are pretty expensive, they also have zero competition.
If Tesla launched it, it’d start out at $100k with a founders edition increase.
The Model Y can be had for 37.5k w/credit
A dinky suv with a cheap interior and low range needs to be closer to 25k
I guess you've never seen, been in, or driven one. In terms of interior volume, it's considered a midsize crossover, not a compact. With respect to "dinky", it's considered one of the safest vehicles ever tested by IIHS, NHTSA, EuroNCAP, and ANCAP. The "mid-trim", which is right around $40k with tax credit, also puts up a 4.8s 0-60; for comparable space and performance, you're spending 75-80k+ on a German luxo crossover. The combo of range, price, and charging network kicks the tar out of literally any other crossover for sale in the US.
Your false perceptions of the Y are frankly embarrassing.
I have, been in all of them(except final production ct). Interior volume is higher because the proportions of the greenhouse are awkward. Bobblehead design, not even comparable to other SUVs in terms of style. An inflated model3
No one buys an SUV for acceleration performance. I'm not interested in paying for that.
Noticed you didn't mention the cheap interior and low range... I guess that perception isn't false.
You're fundamentally misinformed if you think the Model Y is a $25k car; it's strong value at $40k.
Neat opinion. You don't seem to have a good grasp of what "strong value" means.
It's reasonably competitive with the market. Thats it. Average value. It has to be since Tesla needs sales to develop a car with strong value.
What other car is cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, as safe, with similar space and similar or better acceleration?
