Is it worth buying Genie Plus for my Epcot trip this week?
Walt Disney WorldAlso depending on the ages in your party, you can do single rider line for Test Track.
Just got back today from Epcot and soarin said it was 75 mins, had a stop watch running and it was only 30 so probably no need tbh

Essentially yes, arrive maybe half hour before the park open, wait in line and as soon as they open go straight to a normally busy ride. You’ll beat most of the crowds and get a significantly reduced wait time.
If you don’t want to wait more than half an hour for any ride I’d definitely go with Genie+. But as some people have said, you may have to wait until later in the day to do the rides as they’ll book up quickly on Genie+.
Personally, EPCOT doesn’t offer many rides, so I would skip the Genie+. I normally split EPCOT and Animal Kingdom up in one day, so I normally have G+ for that day anyway. But if I were going to EPCOT only, I wouldn’t bother.
Depends what rides you want to do. The only rides really worth getting Genie+ for are Ratatouille, Frozen, and Test Track. If you only want to do one of those, you can rope drop it. But if you want to do more than one, you might want to get it.
This is the problem with Epcot and Genie+ though. Because those rides are the only ones that are worth using it for, they are also highly competitive. So you may not be able to get lighting lanes for all 3 on a busy day. So you'll have to rope drop one, then lighting lane the other two.
It also depends upon how much you hate lines, because if you're only trying to do 3-4 rides, and 3 of those are the big 3, then even if you have to wait an hour for each that's only 3.hours of your day gone. 2 if you rope drop.
We just did Epcot family of four Saturday. No genie + and rope dropped Remy, then Frozen Lucky to virtual que Guardians
Rope drop is key!!
I would skip if you are going at rope drop. Frozen and Remy will most likely be your longest lines, so rope drop one (or both) of those, virtual queue Cosmic. Test Track has single rider that you can take advantage of. Fill rest of day with the other rides in between.
I wouldn’t use genie+ for Epcot… Just keep an eye on wait times and ride accordingly
Are you staying on property or off property? If staying on site, I don’t think it’s necessary assuming you’re willing to rope drop. Depending on if you enter through the world show case side or main entrance side, you can knock off Remy’s/Frozen or Test Track/Soarin’ within the first hour. It gives you a lot of flexibility for the rest of the day then.
If you’re staying off site or don’t want to rope drop, I’d say it can make sense if it’s within your budget. It allows you options more than anything at Epcot versus being close to a necessity at MK or HS.
I’ve done Genie+ at every park except for Animal Kingdom. I just can’t bring myself to do it there with FOP being ILL and having young kids too young to go on that or Everest.
Epcot not really, depends on your desire to Ride Frozen or Ratatouille - test track you can always get on as single rider and Guardians isn't included
No!!!!!!
It’s a grift.

I’d personally give it a miss for Epcot. You’ll get in the virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind so that’s not a problem. The only other big rides that may get a huge queue are Remy’s, Frozen, Soarin’ and Test Track.
The first time I went I just rope dropped Soarin’ and wasn’t in the queue for more than 15 minutes. Frozen, Remy’s and Test Track were a wait of just over an hour but it was certainly bearable. Nothing else in Epcot really gets that big of a line.
Ultimately it’s up to you, and if you can afford it there’s no real downside to Genie+. But if you don’t go for it and don’t mind waiting for the queue’s to calm down, there’s plenty of stuff to do/see/eat in Epcot while you wait!
Hopefully the rides you wanted to go on were included there :)
