I have 3 forsaken ciphers, which one out of these exotics would you say are must haves?
Question // AnsweredThx mate
Of which monarch is very helpful for high level content overload champs. Continuously proccing the effect prevents them from regaining healthand gives you like 2 secs respite between shots
Yessir evertime I have lost sectors with overload I pull out the ole reliable.
And the catalyst heals you.
What if he wants to make some toasts
Jotöaster is a solid decoration for any office
Burn it all down faster than a $3 toaster!
This is the play. Last one is dealer's choice because you've already got Ace and Last Word. I'd go with Anarchy. It's one of those "you never know" exotics.
Izanagi monarque and thorn
Yup, the only correct answer. These three are still very powerful. The rest already had their glory days and are now retired in the nursing home.
Jotunn is fun for a laugh in PvP
PTSD gun
Pssssshhhhh CLANG
sigh... someone pulled out the toaster again :(
Jotunn, Osteo, and Wither are great for ruining everyone’s day in PvP.
Wither with your preferred sidearms feels disrespectful. On control you just paint the zones and unload on anyone who stands still
If you enjoy smgs, Tarrabah can be an absolute blast in pvp. 2 kills will get ravenous beast going and the clicking noise from that reload while you run through the entire enemy team with a 0.4s ttk is so satisfying.
240 spoils moment.
After 1.2k kills, I can confidently say that I don’t regret dropping those spoils whatsoever.
Totally fair. I don't have the raid group to farm out that many spoils ever though :(
You can actually glitch around to get a few of the raid chests a week on all 3 characters.
For VoG, you can sparrow dismount through a rock and get past the door of the first encounter to grab a secret chest.
For Vow, you just do the opening normally and grab the secret chest without bringing the payload thingy with you.
For root, you can grab a Nezarec checkpoint off of d2checkpoint and trace back to planets, then OOB your way back to the second secret chest.
For DSC, you can just do the opening normally with your sparrow/skimmer and grab the chest when you get to the end.
For crota, I’m not entirely sure how the glitch to get to Abyss works, but if you find it difficult you can just grab a guy off of LFG and let him hold/dunk the chalice while you grapple and eager edge to the first chest.
All of that makes for a pretty consistent amount of spoils per week, even if you’re running solo.
If you aren’t sure how to glitch out of something or need a hand, feel free to DM me and I can hop in with you.
You forgot the Shuro-Chi wish checkpoint where you can climb back up on the bridge to get Last Wish Raid loot.
Otherwise pretty comprehensive list!
That one works for free raid loot, but iirc, it doesn’t give spoils.
I can take you through some of these and show you my weekly run for spoils on all 3 characters. It’s totally worth it.
You can get 105 spoils a week without actually having to do anything.
Post Templar checkpoint VoG 4 chests(front door, secret chest #1, gorgon maze chest, secret chest at atheon door) Dick wall checkpoint kings fall secret chest Vow bog secret chest Abyss checkpoint Crota’s end secret chest
Do this with 3 characters a week and you get 105 spoils for about an hours worth of work.
If you have a friend to help you can just alternate swapping characters to speed up the process.
There’s checkpoint bots on twitch (luck9) to make checkpointing easier.
Also note you’ll need a grapple grenade to get back to the beginning of VoG from the post Templar checkpoint.
Do the entrance of Vow of the Disciple weekly (5 per class).
I recommend also looking up a "Glitch into Vault of Glass for spoils" video. (5 per class)
Free 30 spoils per week. Vow takes *MAYBE* half an hour if you are extremely slow.
Longest part of Vault of Glass is learning how to glitch in/the route you run.
Obligatory toaster downvote, nothing personal 😆
Isnt Terrabah still good? I thought that gun still has some sauce in PvP, even recently.
It’s still good but it’s been nerfed and is no longer an outlier; you have to be pretty good at PVP to proc the perk AND take advantage of it, and in PVE, incandescent/Sunshot/Still Hunt exist.
It used to be way better, imo they nerfed it a bit too hard.
I second this. These three are all amazing and I use them often. If only one I would take Thorn.
Truth recently got a buff to how it deals damage plus two sperate ammo reserve buffs, it can hold 14 rockets with double void reserves and does very good damage now!
Izanagi's burden is a must-have. Other than that I think you're good to pick anything but the sparrow.
Alright thank you 🙏
Yeah tbh i dont even want the sparrow anymore, between skimmers and the universal speed change just impractical
Not to mention, 240 spoils of conquest? No way
Fr i only ever did each of the raids once to unlock loot tables. Every reset i collect my free loot chest and the 5 hole spoils. Ron is pissing me off for giving me 48 different aishas and im sitting at two more rufus before crafting
Classic D2
it is tankier and adds target you a tiny bit less. also has benefits of a handful of sparrow mods all in one. shorter summoning time, more dodges, etc
The disrespect to AoT is unreal :sob:
That Sparrow is honestly still the best sparrow. obvs if you bought/got a skimmer I can understand not wanting it, but if you still have a sparrow the upgrade is worth it, especially considering you never have to care about another sparrow.
i think the disrespect to sparrows in general is unreal. i prefer sparrows (partially because I can slipstream and sparrow fly) and ive gotten so much hate for voicing that I like sparrows more
lemon ark
Cos it throws lemons at overload champs?
Yeah, really sours their mood.
how does a person stumble upon this in yt
Depends on what content you prioritize and play most. For PVE, I would definitely take Izanagi, and Thorn is pretty good in both PVE/PVP right now. SMGs have seen better days in PVP, but Tarrabah is still really strong in experienced hands. Le Monarque is also pretty decent in casual 6s if you’re good with it, and could see some niche usefulness in higher end content, but for the most part, meh.
Always on Time is now a complete waste of time since all sparrow speeds were equalized. And people who use Jotunn are guaranteed to get cancer by age 30.
I believe always on time has more health than any other sparrow. Unless they normalized that too, but that's honestly not worth all that much. Plus air grinding is too damn useful if you've got a skimmer.
I don't think it's because it has more health, it's because you generate less threat from enemies so you take less damage
That's what the description says, but I remember reading on this sub years ago that wasn't actually the case, it just had more health to make it seem like you took less shots (or maybe that it was more resistant to damage?).
I could very well be entirely wrong about that though.
that was fixed a long time ago. aot reduces enemy aggro and it has the most dodges/ boosts in the game on a sparrow.
Le Monarque having niche uses in high end content? Huh?
There is no damage fall off, intrinsic Overload, poison spreading effects, procs volatile rounds, and the catalyst is unrelenting for healing. It’s an S tier exotic.
S tier no doubt.
Also.. you can’t just straight buy raid exotics, need spoils as well, so assuming OP doesn’t 240 spoils, Anarchy and Tarrabah (spelling) and the sparrow are out of the question..
Jotunn is silly fun
My lil sff cpu cooler
Didn't it catch on fire irl?
A masterpiece
TOSTER
GET THE TOASTER
Personally I recommend Thorn, Le Monarque, and either Izanagi's Burden or Anarchy. Or you could get Jotunn if you want to be an absolute menace to society XD
Can't grab anarchy without the spoils
Anarchy seems mostly replaced by Parasite.
Im not sure if they nerfed Tarraba but it was fun as hell back then...
You need spoils of conquest to get raid weapons sadly, which if he's a new player and doesn't have any blocks that choice out
Get jotunn and enjoy the pvp hate mail
Can you explain this to me new to destiny so don’t get the jotunn inside joke
It’s an auto-aim fusion that is basically just point and click at any skill level.
Izanagi is the only one that's particularly important tbh. I'm assuming that you have already acquired the ones with checkmarks next to them. If you haven't, then Lumina would be a good pick up for pve, and Ace a good pick up for pvp.
3 jotuns
Monarque hands down. Picked it up again the other day and it still fucks.
Lemon,izzy,thorn
Monarque thorn and izanagi
Its not a great choice but I don't think I've had more fun with a gun in destiny than Jotunn
Le Monarque and Thorn for sure.
And then Izanagi’s if you want access to one of the optimal rocket swaps for DPS or Jotun if you want the funny PvP tracking 1-shot weapon.
Pve or pvp
3x Jotuun
Izanagi’s is great for pve for a high damage special
Le monarque is great for being intrinsic overload and more importantly it only needs one bow shot to activate the overload as opposed to other weapons.
3rd you can pick any. Personally it would be between thorn, jotuun, or Tarrabah
Personally I got a lot of use out of Thorn and Jotunn (or toaster) but I might be a bit biased since they’re my first exotics. Thorn poisons and does damage over time and gets stronger with kills. Jotunn fires a tracking charge shot that explodes on impact
The toaster
Where are my Jotunn lovers? That thing is amazing. Especially paired with a gun that has shoot to loot
Thee cheapo supremo in Gambit!
Monarque, Izzi and Anarchy
Thorn, anarchy, nagi
Anarchy is great to just keep tagging beefy targets with. I personally think it's undervalued but it is by no means meta. Lemonarch slaps. Izi slaps. Thorn is amazing depending on your build
Definitely truth, bad JuJu and lumina
I'm unironically going to recommend Truth. It hits for a decently competitive amount of damage per rocket, but with 3 in the mag and a huge amount in reserves makes it a great all round option atm
It’s been so good since TFS dropped
Izanagi, thorn and le monarque
Thorn, Le Monarque, and Izanagi’s Burden.
L A S T W O R D
Le monarque thorn izanagis
Jötun. Because you can cast fireball with it and it hits super hard and it's catalyst gets some good traits like incandescent and corned. Plus the fire ball tracks a bit. Also suggest that you fire from the hip with it. I've hit more times in pvp and smaller more mobile enemies in pve by doing that.
Thorn, Le Monarque, and Izanagi. The sparrow is not worth it until you have everything as all sparrows got buffed to the same speed
Monarque, Jotun, Thorn
le monarque and izinagis burdon are good in pve. Jötun is fun in pvp cause you can be a little shitstain.
The best part was actually how to get these weapons, it’s sad how bungie decided to just give them away as candy
Izanagi, Thorn, and Le Monarch are all solid.
If you're looking for a fun weapon. Jotunn (The Toaster) is up there.
It was broken and ruined PvP for a while. I still catch flak for it, and I only play PvE.
But it has a SATISFYING sound, and it goes boom. It's not as good as it was, and for good reason. But that Ker-CHUNK is just great.
- Izanagi’s Burden
- LeMon
- Tarrabah / Thorn if you don’t raid or you play PvP or you’re a warlock because it works with Necrotic Grips
Izanagi, La Monarque, Thorn
I'll always make a case for Anarchy in case Bungie buffs it in the future. Despite it being nerfed to hell it's still one of the most unique, inventive, and fun exotics Bungie ever created
Le Monarque, Thorn, and Izanagi’s. I absolutely love using Le Monarque for stunning champs and getting the poison damage.
le monarque.
Jotunn izanagi thorn
Jotunn is peak and slept on too much
Izanagi, Monarque are must-haves, third pick is between Thorn, Always on Time and Anarchy (what if it will be meta again copium)
Mina by far
Le Monarque is so fun
I love the toaster gun whenever the game asks me to use Fusion Rifles to kill people.
Good for people like me who have 0 aim on PVP too
Monarque, Izanagi and Thorn are best bang for buck and the clear winners here
Jotuun and Tarrabah are okay to good in PvP. Anarchy has been power crept. Always on Time isn't as good as it used to be.
Truth is a contender for worst exotic in the game.
izzy lemon arc sparrow. thats it.
Le Monarque never left my loadout when I came back to Density around the time of Season of the Witch, it's incredible. Helped me solo the exotic quest in the Dreaming City for Malfeasance.
Terrabah, thorn, and monarque.
Don't listen to anyone bad mouthing Truth. Whenever I use it in gambit I get 4 guardian kills. Every time. The tracking is fast and damn near witchcraft. IYKYK
Izanagi's Burden, Thorn, Le Monarque.
izis and thorn
also le monarque
Pve: Izanagi, Le Monarque, in between the Sparrow or Anarchy Pvp: Thorn, Jötunn, Tarrabah
If you're looking for PVE practicality than the le monarque is like wish.com version of osteo striga but it is one of the easiest things to spam on a overload champion and keep them stunned
LONG LIVE LEMON
Le monarque was love at first sight for me. If you're a hunter it gets even better paired with some glives that keeps your bow drawn indefinitely (if I remember correctly) but even as a warlock. Before I actualky realized hou making a build works, that bow single handendly carried me trough legendary campaigns and gambits. Not endgame stuff, but shows tge potential.
Thorn is one that I discovered 3 days ago thanks to an exotic bond that I got from Pale Heart (star-eatet+necrotic) . That thing enabled me to do solo dungeons. It's a must in your arsenal if you like poison damage.. Which for someone loving the Monarque is a god sent as the draw time is mostly instant on guns :))
How do you not have izinagi le monarque and thorn yet but have ace of spades last word and bad juju?
I'll give you insights into those weapons so that you might chose for yourself.
Le Monarque - Used to be top pick in certain grandmaster nightfalls, at least up until the recent buffs to pulse rifles. Now it's just a good pick for that level of content. You won't really be using it anywhere else, unless you're a bow enthusiast.
Jotunn - useless
Izanagi's burden - best use is for dps rotations in raids, provided you can master it. Other than that, there is no real need for izanagi in other type of content. There are better picks.
Thorn - one of the best pvp hand cannons.
Truth - exotic rocket launcher that tracks targets very agressively. Not needed in any type of content for the time being.
Anarchy - not needed anywhere
Tarrabah - not needed anywhere
Always on time sparrow - you can very easily find others
Izanagi is a must have Le monarque is a good primary, with good but not great AoE and Damage. Awesome for overloads. Thorn is good for PvP afaik, and decent in PVE, maybe good/great if you build around it on Warlock. Tarrabah is a simple smg that can activate a supercharged, powerful dps boost on demand, similar to quicksilver but just overcharged smg instead of grenades Anarchy is the best weapon in the game when it is strong and a niche but still ok playstyle when not. Currently, it is not strong/only OK.
I think the primaries are only OK at best and we have better primaries + super strong double special with wave frames or rocket sidearms, so I would get izanagi + anarchy + a primary you want
Izanagi’s and Monarque. Both great PvE weapons.
Thorne, izanagis burden and jotun for pvp or le monarque for shits and giggles
Izzy Thorn LeMon
Izi monarque anarchy
Did you already try jotun pvp? Evilaugh intensifies
None of them are really top of their class anymore, but izanago, thorn, monarque, and jotunn are incredibly fun to use
The sparrow for sure should be a no brainer 😮💨
Izanagi, Thorn, always on time
Thorn especially if you are a warlock with necrotic grips.
Le Monarque is so awesome in my personal opinion. It also has intrinsic energy overload. It takes a second to get used to so I would take it into a master lost sector before anything of harder difficulty.
Izzy thorn monarque that's what I tell everyone
If you’re a gambit player i definitely recommend izanagi
Izanagi, Izanagi and Izanagi, I would say
Jk, Izanagi and whatever other 2 you want, I would go Thorn and Jotunn or Le Monarque
Obviously the sparrow duhhhhhhh
izzy is only a must-have if you are doing endgame content and need/want boss dps help. le mon is good and fun for just about everything
Izanagi, Le Monarque, then an equal toss up between Thorn or Jotunn. Thorn if you're a lore and PVE buff, jotunn for giggles if you literally just want to be a troll in crucible.
I need my yeehaw gun
Toaster (Jotunn) is always fun to fuck with in pvp, Izanagi is fantastic burst dps, Anarchy is nice for solo dungeons and higher end stuff.
Izanagi, Jotunn and Le Monarque, since you don’t have spoils.
Le Monarche - fun to play and great with Overload. Jotunn - fun and unique Fusion that acts like Rocket Launcher. Izanagi Burden - Good dos with catalyst. Sounds great and satisfying to shoot. Thorn - Load of builds if you are Warlock. Truth - When you need to fire 3 rockets back to back. Kinda meh since they nerf the tracking too hard. Anarchy - Useful for ad clear and dps rotation hybrid. Tarrabah - fun in PvP if you don’t switch gun that often.
Le Monarque, Thorn and Izinagi
Le monarque
Izanagi, Ace of Spades, Le Monarque
Anyone saying Jotunn for PvP is an awful person. Some types of “fun” are only one-sided.
found the guy that got Jotunn'd last game
lemon, Izzy, and Thorn are all great
Izzy thorn bad juju easy
I haven’t played since the new DLC but the amount of lost sectors and tough solo content that Le Monarch has brought me through is astonishing. It is intensely satisfying and if you are ever underleveled for content it will have you hitting above your weight class. If I had none of these weapon and had one to choose it is Le Monarch.
Izanagi is another top choice but due to special ammo it is less of a crutch and has some nuance when learning to straight load it to charged.
Anarchy used to be heavy king, changes have dropped it down a bit. But if you like DOT weapons that you can plant on big bois or at a choke point it is a must have.
Id take Le monarch.... But I am bias. I absolutely adore that weapon. So much so I forced myself to retire it, just so I could use other weapons.
izanagi anarchy thorn
Def thorn if you’re a warlock. Necrotic + Thorn is so good
Izinagi Jotunn And thorn.
Izzy anarchy sparrow if you want things people ask for in raid speeds
1) Izanagi's Burden. It is like Celestial Nighthawk in a sniper rifle. 1 shot for the damage of 3. Goes in kinetic slot and uses special ammo. Overall great. 2) Monarque . it's a bow. Is void, goes in energy slot. It stuns overload, and poisons. Like Thorn below it has synergies with other poison exotics. It's quite a threat in pvp due to its perks. 3) Thorn. is a kinetic hand cannon. It poisons targets it shoots and can refill its own magazine. It pairs well with Necrotic Grip exotic or Spirit of Necrotic because it stacks and synergies with the poison effect of these exotics.
Edit: oops, I confused Monarque with Leviathans
Just a reminder they buffed The Truth too so maybe keep an eye out for that too. My personal would be Izanagi, Le Monarque and Thorn
Jotunn, thorn and izanagi
Thorn and the bow. But for sure Thorn.
Personally I would go with tarrabah, izi, and thorn.
Le monarque, Izanagis, and I would say Anarchy - Anarchy has definitely seen better days but if you’re talking PvE, I’ve had several situations during harder PvE content where it’s easier to tag something with Anarchy and worry about other ads while Anarchy does a respectable amount of damage on its own.
However, if you play any bit of PvP, swap Anarchy out with Thorn - it is very good right now and with the catalyst finally out it’s even better, it can also hold it’s own in PvE.
Thron
You don't need forsaken Cyphers to buy them, you can use the normal ones too
Thorn, only because that's my last name so I'm biased
Monarch
Monarque, thorn, and Tarra if you play pvp
live, laugh, toaster bath.....
Monarque, Izanagi, Thorn
Izanagi's Burden, Thorn, and Le Monarque
Izy, Thorn, Le Monarque.
Jotün, Thorn, and Izanagi are my votes
Izzy and thorn
lemonarch is number one. and i would say ace of spaces and thorn for 2 and 3
Thorn. Izanagi. Monarque. Everything else is mid at best, all 3 are beasts alone but with Cattys they get stupid good. Thorn gets needed Range stats amongst others. Izanagis 4 to 1 high damage bullet stack gets even higher and Monarque gets stat boosts plus I wanna say Unrelenting too I think? Fact check me but I think I’m right.
Monarque ace and izi/thorb
Nagi, thrown, monarque
Thorn, monarque, and jotunn for PvP ;)
Izanagi for PvE and Thorn in PvP
Jotunn if you want to be a shithead in pvp
Izi, Monarch, and thorn 110%
If I was in your shoes I'd pick Le Monarque, Thorn, and Izanagi's Burden.
Thorn, anarchy, izinagi.
Lemonarque, izanagi's burden and thorn. Out of all of them the most important is probably Izanagi's burden
If you're a warlock Lumina is a must
Izinagis is good for taking out tormentors but I would recommend the toaster(jotuun)
Monarch, jotun, izanagi
Tarra, Toaster and Lemon
Izinagi and monarque for sure, truth is decent now and jotun is really fun
Izzy Le Monarch and Thorn
The bow
Mmmmmm toaster
Le monarque, Izzy and either thorn or jotunn for pvp, I can't really recommend jotunn cause I fucking hate that gun 😆
Jotunn!! Toaster is the best addition to the game
Thorn, Izanagi, Anarchy personally.
I have to say, with the new crunch on exotic ciphers, and the change to sparrows/hoverboards, Always On Time is suddenly seeming like a total waste of resources.
Lemon thorn izi
Rat king?
le monarque or izanagis burden, both are good in pve
