## Rules

###1. Use Original/Relevant Post Title and Flair

- **1.1** Title should accurately represent the content of the post and provide sufficient information. In case of articles, use titles provided by news source.
 
- **1.2** No Clickbait in titles. If original titles are baity, user can change them to make them appropriate and to the point.

- **1.3** Emojis in titles are not allowed.

- **1.4** Similarly, Appropriate flairs are to be set for all submissions. Inappropriate flairs may lead to post removal.

###2. Use English Language for Post Titles

- **2.1** All post titles must be in English. Hindi or Hinglish or other regional language titles are not allowed. 

- **2.2** If Hindi is absolutely essential for context and can't be avoided, providing English translation for the same is necessary - either in the post title itself or in its body or in comment section.

- **Hindi or Hinglish is allowed in post body.**

###3. No Relationship Posts

- **3.1** Posts related to personal relationships are explicitly banned in this subreddit. 

- Please direct such discussions to r/RelationshipIndia, a subreddit specifically dedicated to that topic. 

- Let's keep our focus on other engaging discussions here.

###4. No Referrals or Ticket Peddling

- **4.1** Posts related to buying, selling, auctioning, giveaways, promo/referral codes, event tickets, and similar activities are not allowed unless verified.

###5. Low-Effort Post

- **5.1** All text/image/video posts should include sufficient context to foster healthy and meaningful audience participation and discussion. Posts with little or no detail provided will be removed.

###6. No Non-OC Image Submissions without Source

- **6.1** All Non-OC Image submissions need to have their source provided, either in the post or inside comments. Posts with no source will be removed.

###7. No Off-topic commentary in Serious Advice Threads

- **7.1** When users seek serious advice, it's important to keep the discussion focused. Off-topic commentary or unrelated discussions are not permitted within such threads to maintain the quality and relevance of advice being given.

###8. No Thirsty Posts/Comments

**Respectful Content Only**

- **8.1** Posts/Comments/DMs seeking boyfriends/girlfriends, dating partners, or sexual partners are strictly prohibited. 

- Let's maintain a respectful environment and avoid content that objectifies or solicits others.

- You can post such threads in r/R4RIndia, provided you follow rules of that subreddit.

###9. No Non-Consensual Posting of Personal Info / Doxxing

- **9.1** We do not allow any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to be posted. Users who break this rule will be banned on the spot.

- **9.2** Posting of personal info in case of verified fundraising efforts such as Milaap is allowed. Some self-discretion and self-moderation should be applied in this respect.

###10. Don't be a Jerk

- **10.1** No racism, sexism, homophobia, religious intolerance, dehumanizing speech, or negative generalizations, trolling et cetera will be tolerated.

- **10.2** We do not allow posts that target other users or encourage vote brigading or encourage following users across reddit or social media. 

- Posts/Comments that break these rules will result in an instant ban.

###11. No Posting of Unverified/Viral - Text/Images/Videos/Articles

- **11.1** We discourage the posting of Unverified/Viral - Text/images/videos pulled from social media or unverified news outlets or personal blogs in this subreddit. 

- Our aim is to foster meaningful discussions and content sharing rather than circulating widely shared content.

###12. No Self Promotion if you are not active in r/Delhi

- **12.1** We allow occasional self-promotion from **only** our long-standing community members, with a 1:10 ratio, viz. for every ten submissions/comments you make one promotional submission/comment. 

- If you are not sure, please contact us before making any such post.

###13. No Meta Drama

- **13.1** We do not allow submissions or comments that focus on self-referential or meta discussions about moderators, moderation of this subreddit or other subreddits. 

- Any content that aims to incite drama which can harm the well-being of this subreddit or other subreddits will be removed and acted on by the moderators.

###14. No Inappropriate posts for a City Subreddit

- **14.1** Please ensure posts are relevant for r/Delhi. Some of the inappropriate cases are:

 - Post about an illegal activity such as scoring marijuana, software piracy etc
 - NSFW/Gore Media or Text
 - Witch-Hunting/Targeting/Doxxing User
 - Low effort Shitposting
 - R4R Post

###15. No Hate Speech/Bigotry

- **15.1** Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, bullying, and threats of violence. 

- No hate speech/bigotry will be tolerated in r/Delhi and will result in an instant ban.
