Routine: Keratin shampoo and conditioner, Finger coil the front
Could anyone please help me fingercoil the back of my head and also give me advice on how to make my hair look healthier and better, Im currently running with no products and need advice on what purchase would make the most bang for my buck.

I’ve never used keratin treatment but I’ve read on this sub some folks have had bad results with it. Try searching the sub for old posts about keratin.
How are you sleeping? Try a satin-lined cap and/or satin pillow case. The back of your hair looks like it is getting roughed up somehow. Might be when you sleep.
My routine is I wet my hair to refresh it with cool water and then apple a leave-in conditioner. I like Shea Moisture leave in.
You should start with a good deep conditioner and wrap your hair with it for 15 mins then wash. I think your hair looks really dry, so I wouldn’t fingercoil this lol. Just scrunch and make sure you’re washing your hair with cool water

Are you using a satin bonnet or satin pillowcases? That will help with the back looking less smooth. Walmart has hair mayonnaise you can use as a deep conditioning treatment for about $4. Put it on for a few hours once a week.

Generally when I need to do anything on the back of my head I go at it from above but it’s longer.
You’ve got too large of finger coils here, and like mentioned elsewhere I wouldn’t do those without product, or really at all with such loose curls. Gel is going to be your best bang for your buck. Try out the cheapest at the store and go up from there
I wouldn’t suggest finger coiling at all until you figure out your curl type, hair type, and what products to use on it :)

Finger curling is good but needs to be more random. At curly hairstylist they told me to brush all hair to the front of my head. Put in Innersense mousse. Then make a bunch of tiny finger curls.
After you make the curls flip your head back and use Innersense spray. Let your hair be more wild. Each morning wet it and redo to not get frizz. Great hair!

I got a BounceCurl and now I don’t finger curl…. This brush does it for me! It’s been a game changer. I’m very lazy about sectioning and it doesn’t take long at all. Watch some YouTube demos… it’ll give you the finger-curl look in the back. I use it on my 6-year old grandson’s hair and it looks great now, whereas it was kinda of a nonspecific curly mess before.
I think that for now you should start by defining a routine that works well for you. Find a product that works for your hair. You don't really need to fingercoil your hair to get definition - your back shows us you have no definition at all, meaning you need to do something about your routine/products. Once you get it somewhat right, you can see if fingercoiling is actually necessary.
Don’t take this in a bad way kid but I don’t think fingercoiling is really working for you right now. Try using a mousse or something like that to give you some hold, and/or an oil.
ETA: right now, try using your fingers or a wide toothed comb to separate out your curls.
I’ve done hair similar to yours. The key is to use conditioner and smaller sections.
A mask and conditioner would help moisturize your hair. Just scrunch after washing and try some hair oils. I use premium hair oil from mediall, it's a nice hair defining oil/serum and it gives a healthy glossy finish. Also if you have a diffuser, you can use that to blow dry your hair and define the curls too.
Your hair looks too loose for finger coils given that the curls are bigger than fingers. Try styling it as ringlets
Your hair looks kinda similar to mine before I had a curl-specific routine. The As I Am Coconut Co-Wash and their leave-in conditioner worked really well for me. I'd wash my hair every 2-3 days, scrunch in a Cantu curl activator cream at the end and let everything air dry after lightly tapping with a microfiber towel.
I did this for over a year before I realized something in one of the As I Am products was severely messing up my scalp. My hair looked really good though, so it might be worth looking into if you don't have the same adverse scalp reaction.
I like your finger coils, maybe brush through the back, with conditioner, section it & do it that way. Keep it wet, with a spray bottle. Maybe you should start with the back and work to the front?
You might have too much product build up, use cleanser shampoo and conditioner and then use enough amount of gel and to style it just straighten your hair first while wet and apply the gel, wait it to dry(you can use medium heat hairdrier) and when the strand curl, try to divide the clump to create volume.

The funny part isn’t him asking for help it’s the difference in definition. My hair gets like that too and I laugh at myself when my hair doesn’t look exactly how I want it to, it’s not that serious. Also I did give him some tips, he asked for help and gave him a tip, not that deep.
