But also you don't need to kill somebody every single time you need an extra sphere
Did you read the whole book?
Yes it's why I said extra not recharged
I think what he meants is that you don't need a sunheart to catch that investiture
They're just spheres with a different shape
Like the singers' gemhearts
Hard disagree on that, where do gemstones come from
Yes, singers and listeners have gem hearts, but so do livestock animals on Roshar, the Listeners weave gemstones into their facial hair but also have a taboo against messing with the bodies of the dead, so they clearly get the gemstones from somewhere else, like the chasmfiends
We don’t know which of the creatures with gemhearts are intelligent. We know several of them bond spren, and if they are anything like Ryshadium some of them are intelligent
Chulls probably aren't sapient
Was thinking the same thing...
This is in relation to their past memories before they discovered recharging. After that discovery, it doesn't really matter.
All Investiture in the Cosmere is "attuned" to a Shard, Canticle's Investiture belongs to one of them. Connection isn't a problem on Roshar either, it's just imperfect storage that makes it hard to get Investiture off-world without losing it all on the way.
And it's implied that there's something inside of Canticle. We just have no clue what.
Great meme, Gon! You have pleased the mighty Lopen 2 times with your posts!
I think sunhearts are actually a better investiture source than spheres, since there’s no Shard on Canticle it should be far easier to get the investiture offworld. Plus you can recharge the sunhearts every few hours rather than the several days between highstorms.
