Am I making a mistake?

So basically I've been trying to hook up with people again (17 yr)

I found this woman who is down to meetup but she doesn't have a car, or money. I go to a internship type of thing and could leave on my hr long lunch break to hookup but it takes 20 minutes to and back

I could probably afford being late, but I'm scared that if I go she'll be creepy or something. And it'll fuck up my whole situation.

I saw you crossposted this to some other subs so I'll be using some of the context from those as well. Do not go out with grown adults as a 17 yr old, ever. Do not join dating apps at 17!! People lie especially if you have it out there that you're underage.

I understand that you were bullied for being asexual and not being a sexual person. Having sex because of this or to try and prove things to them will do nothing to those bullies but it can definitely hurt you. There is nothing wrong with not having sex at all and certainly nothing wrong with not being sexual at 17. If you have sex it should be because you want to do it and on your own terms with a safe person, not because some sad MFs (some of which probably are lying about having sex too btw--it's High School, people feel the need to act bigger and older than they are and MANY people have never had sex well into their adulthood) bullied you.

One of the people who made fun of me is a grown man.

I've never had an issue finding a partner (though I've never dated) or having friends. It's just I'm picky about people I hang out with or date. I've had girls throw themselves at me but my lack of sexual attraction made it so I didn't care.

At this point in my life I just distance myself from people... Unfortunately

That is Worse that a grown man was making fun of you for not being sexual. That man should not be involved at all in your sex life and the fact that he's inserting himself in anything beyond basic sex education is Bad. Adults should be people you can come to if you suspect sexual abuse or have questions about safety with sex and Nothing Else. The fact that he thinks you need to be more sexual is also a huge red flag. Do not engage with this man at all if it's possible.

Don't stress yourself about your social interactions right now. Very few people keep all the same friends they have in high school, we all move on and go live different lives. You will find friends, and if you want a partner you will get a partner. A lot of people do not have sex or prefer not to have sex, your romantic relationships do not have to be sexual if you don't want that. Do not listen to anyone who tells you differently.

Pretty much all of what you shared so far are considered flags, mostly red, already. Listen to those and maybe consider priority on better vetted relationships via dating instead.
