Couchsurfing charged me €16.99 ($18.43) for one year...how much it charged you??

😂 lol seems that people living in Italy pay slightly more than others

Living in the Netherlands and I just paid them €14.50 on April 15th  

My last payment was Aug 30 last year for $17.99 CAD ($13.22 USD or €12.16).

Out of curiosity, what's this charge for? It's been a long time since I last used CS back in 2015 and just found out CS is still a thing. Never paid anything

This was about two years ago, but I created a Couchsurfing account. I wanted to look up a few places and I didn't read the terms properly and it charged me about £50 for a year. I don't remember the exact amount but it was roughly that. I emailed them soon after saying it was a mistake and I didn't mean to have a membership for a year. Luckily they refunded me the money but they said the terms do mention that fee for a year. I just wanted to ask some queries
