I'm trying to install MrChromebox's UEFI Full ROM firmware so that I can install Linux directly on an HP Chromebook 14a (Lantis). It doesn't have a write protection screw so I'm disconnecting the battery to disable hardware write protection.

I've tried flashrom --wp-disable with the battery disconnected but it still didn't work. Also tried sudo gsctool -a -o and then disabling with the flashrom command again but still no luck. It says the problem may be caused by an active Management Engine. See images.

From the supported devices page it says that the Lantis board is supported for UEFI Firmware (Full ROM) but it's not working for me. Should this work? Is there anything I might be missing to do it right? Thanks
