Need a new sour chewy candy

I’ll never understand why shock tarts were taken away from us.

Oh man. I forgot all about shock tarts. Man they were good. 😭😭😭

Shockers were the number one candy I ate as a kid.

My mouth immediately started watering thinking about shocktarts.

No recommendations, sorry. Just came to say RIP shockers :’(

I put sour punch straws and sour patch kids (lemonade) in the fridge. It makes them a little harder, like the candies you posted. I don’t really care for them otherwise, too soft.

Have you tried the Starburst sour minis? Not as sour as shock tarts (a fave of mine too) and they don’t have a shell, but they’re not a sour gummy candy which seems to be all that there is these days when it comes to sour candies. I find them pretty good.

Not quite the same, but I’m a big fan of sour skittles.

Razzles! The sour razzles are awesome! They are chewy candy that turns into gum.

Man I remember when we had football practice as kids and someone’s dad worked for Wonka. We’d get free shockers after every practice and they’d still easily be my favorite candy right now

Not quite sour sour but have tried spree. They remind me of chewy sweet tarts.

Pretty sure they still have the sweet tart chewy sours if you look for em, they have a slightly different bag now

These are my favorite sour candies ever: Wiley Wallaby Sourrageous Drops The gas station I used to get them from stopped carrying them. They’re kind of hard to find, but if you can get your hands on them, they are really hard to put down.

Not the same texture but the Wiley Wallaby Sourageous Drops are legit so good. They will give you sour skittles teeth if you eat too many and I always do. Oh and do spree chewy still exist? They're so good

Sour Power Straws are one of the greatest and come in like 30 flavors. Unfortunately, I can only find them in innercity Bodegas.

The shockers were so good. I would eat so much of them when I was a kid and it kinda burned my tongue

I just realized why I love sour candy, but never really feel that zing I look for, then there’s the shockers image and everything made sense.

The new warheads sour taffy aren’t bad, dollar tree. The orange punch ones taste like some orange or island bubblegum flavor I remember…

I used to love Sour Patch Kids. Then my stomach said stop it. Used to eat a whole roll of yummy sweetarts all at once, but again, stomach. Those old Pixie Sticks were the best.

Sweetarts mini chewies are the texture of the first two pics, but they aren’t rly sour…more tangy than anything, but they’re still good. Sour skittles are also good, but only a couple handfuls and they are burning my mouth lol

not really candies but haribo sour sneakers have a kick! and i really like zots! they aren’t necessarily sour but they’re really fun and fizzy

Lately I’ve been eating the Sour Strips (blue raspberry). I get them at Target. Also, don’t get the Watermelon flavor! It has a weird aftertaste.

I haven't found anything to even remotely come close to replacing either of these candies 😭

The “sour dudes” line that can be found at dollar general is both affordable and good. They have several different types.

Bristow’s Blue Raspberry Chewy Bon Bons are not only the best sour candy I’ve had, but also the best blue raspberry candy.

Not exactly like these, but Sour Big Chewy Nerds are my go-to sour candy, soooo good! (I’m in Canada, not sure if these are elsewhere).

Nerds gummy clusters are my favorite, the pink package. Now THEY need to make a sour. I work at McLane and those are a very hot item!!

Sour Patch jelly beans around Easter are better and more sour than the regular kids. Until then it's usually sour skittles for us.

Not exactly the most chewy, but you can never go wrong with sour cherry balls.

I loved the first two and miss them.

Only thing I found sorta similar are Cry Baby Sour Chews. I found them during Easter time this year and ate so many bags. I wish they were regularly available in my area.

I miss sour starburst clouds. They weren't super sour but they were like chewing... Clouds lol

It may sound gimmicky, but the toxic waste: sour smog balls are a crazy sour experience while still having some flavor. There’s one color that is a bit too much but they’re worth a try.

I'm sad to learn Shocktarts have been discounted🥺. Also, those Zours were AMAZING. They make them still but they don't have the sour powder on them anymore.

Not exactly a candy, but I have been obsessed with Fruit Riot. The sour is the type of sour I've been looking for for years.

There are lots of choices for sour candy that I really good It's the only kind of fruit candy I really like.

Unlocked a memory with Shockers. I seriously wonder why they stopped making those? Those were sooo good. 100x better than stuff like sour patch.
